Akitsuki (aka. Yamato wtvr u people call him) is a cool character, tho i think manaka is cooler, and Yamato 0\/\/n5 Keitaro. I wouldnt call them strong since they're all wimpy and indecisive until later in the story where the plot strengthens them, like keitaro getting 1337 digging skills, and manaka getting stronger (deicisive and stronger in general). I like Akitsuki cuz he kinda reminds me of me! all the stuff that happens to him happened to me! XD (less exagerrated tho) PERSISTANCE MAAAN!
tho i hate all of them for being "average to less-than-average" guys yet still getting like 5 girls to fall in love with them ...bastards

He's an absolute idiot. I'd be able to forgive him if he'd begun to change halfway through the series, but he's stayed pretty much the same person the whole way. Hell, even the manga itself pokes fun at him, with most if not all the girls saying how he's the "Same Yamato." He needs to stop whining and grow some balls.

I think the mangaka is ok with Yamato, if he/she build him to be a better man than now, that would be boring. Btw, he is suck, lack of pervert is not manly at all. If Suzuka was real, i could think pervert all about her.

he is comically pathetic. Almost like it's an inside joke to the mangaka and his friends
wouldn't be surprised to find out after the manga ends that Yamato was based off somebody the mangaka hated in real life, and decided to lampoon.

akitsuki is almost...ALMOST as annoying as manaka junpei from ichigo.
he's just a lame ass main character who is very lucky with the ladies he has encountered. imo his personality is hell dud.

how come Ichigo gets compared to suzuka so often
they're nothing remotely alike imo, other than superficial ways like both romances and both have male lead as narrator (I liked both of them, not criticizing, just seem reallydifferent fantasy style to me)

its funny how you put it but he forgot his own birthday aswell....
besides, he has a one track mind. When he sets his mind onto something, he'll do it but when something starts to split into two, he messes up.
Such as the fact that Suzuka's going to one school and Saki's going to another, which will he choose? Of course he'll mess up.
He wanted to do something for Suzuka when she got to America, but he messed up because he wasn't paying attention to her and only working hard. In anyone's case, you have to do all three: work hard on track, work, and your girlfriend.

dude yamato is a complete loser LMFAO dude he is a straight wussie, he represents all those wussy dudes that can't get a girl and is like ass kissing women just to be accepted, he is the definition of a wussy shit dude but ends up making a true love story, but i mean if he wasn't wussy and he did get women we wouldn't be reading this manga now would we?
