thats cuz suzuka actually cares for yamato. unlike honoka, suzuka is a deep thinker, and because she cared for yamato, and didnt want him to be lonely while she was away in america, she chose to break up with him. y do u think she was secretly crying when she left the airport with yamato telling her not to go? compared to honoka, suzuka is a lot more mature and is willing to sacrifice herself in order to prevent yamato from getting hurt.

the best ending still, in my opinion, is finding out that suzuka is in fact a lesbian...

agree wif wat u say(xcept the last sentence).. ha...
she's too insecure after wat happened to her senior who made wif a car accident... and i guess she is not confident tat the long-distance realationship will last (again more a lack of confident in herself than yamato i guess) n decides to break up to avoid making yamato feel bad in the event tat he does get a new gf....

her terrible mood swings r because she does not dare(know) to express herself N open herself to yamato n tats wat i feel is causing this strain in her relationship wif yamato...

sadly.. when things get better between her N yamato and when she starts to open her heart to him, our dear author decides to throw them another trial in the form of an unexpected cock up by our dear yamato.. leaving him to bear the brute of her anger....

on a side note.. i do feel tat she does have a feminine side.. especially when she goes all shy about holding hands n stuff...

Suzuka seems like a bitch because the only reactions the reader gets to see are through Yamato's eyes. Unless he is looking at her from a distance it's mostly interaction between the two of them. For a while there Yamato naturally annoyed the hell out of Suzuka, something that can happen. So all you see is Suzuka bitching and moaning at Yamato for what he's done wrong.

Also you can think that since she did have someone who she liked die the way he did there has to be some type of psychological barrier that she had to get over to develop a closer relationship with Yamato. Hence the bitchiness to push him away.

One question though, are the people who defend Suzuka females? I mean, i am a male and i kinda not "hate her" but i don't like her; cause she is really annoying. Or at least, i don't get what is on her mind at all. I ask if you are females to confirm whether you are right or not. I mean who understand what is on a girl's mind is another girl. (probably)

About the incident with Suzuka's boyfriend can be acceptable but still; didn't she get over it already? From what i read, she had gotten over it already.

What I'm thinking is that it's subconcious. She can say she's over it and all, hence going out with Yamato, but there still is something there that is holding her back, hence why she can't open up to him about her feelings.

At least I think this was going on earlier. I have no clue now.

Going back to that old old dead guy saga, i would say that she liked yamato, but was unsure herself whether that liking was due to the dead guy or something new, and thus didnt want to jump in and find out after that that she really did only want him as a replacement, hurting yamato because he didnt deserve that kind of treatment.

Nobody else here has ever been on the edge of a possible rebound relationship ? I thought that part would have been pretty clear to the readers :0

Edit: I would surmise that everytime they run into problems, she worries that she was wrong about her feelings about yamato after all-see above-but doesnt believe it/doesnt want to believe it because she really treasures their relationship. And then kicks herself mentally for even daring to think about whether her feelings are true or not, because she knows yamato really loves her and thinking this way wouldnt be fair to him. But if she did really love him, then why would she have to worry about being fair to him? Its a vicious, and very emotionally exhausting cycle, one that she feels she cant share with yamato because she doesnt want to hurt him(huh1! suzuka has doubts about her love for me !!1!! /wrist).

I would even venture further that she doesn't want to get back together with yamato because she wants to sort out her own feelings first and be worthy of yamato's love for her( which she is really happy to find out still exists after her year in america). Remember that she went to america because of yamato's compliment, which leads to a whole lot more inferences about her wanting to improve herself to be worthy of his compliment(s) OR perhaps to get more compliments for him. ( which would also explain her reaction to yamato's 'WHO DO YOU THINK IM DOING THIS FOR' outburst back in the fight about his job.)

Thus i would say that this opens up the story to a whole lot more development on suzuka's part and also provides a direction for the story from yamato's viewpoint as he doesnt know suzuka's reasoning for it, and we will probably see him trying to understand why suzuka is acting the way she does/asking himself where he wants to go from here.

Suzuka back full circle and absolutely no character/story development at all? I dont think. Just my two cents, and my defense for why suzuka acts the inexplainable way she does [:

I'm pretty sure the message he wanted Sasoka, I think thats his name, to tell Suzuka is simply, "Thanks!" which is what he says on page 18 of Ch. 120. Basically, he wanted to thank her for getting him into track, and giving him something to do in life, even though the original reason why he did what he did was so Suzuka would like him.
