Thread: Suzuka

Okay, lets try and start a proper topic for the Suzuka Thread...okay?

This thread will basically give a background information to Suzuka and where you can obtain both anime and manga.

Well now, for those who dont quite know what Suzuka is or is about, here is a summary:

Yamato and Suzuka attend the same high school and live in the same student housing complex. Suzuka is especially athletic and is under a lot of pressure to meet everyone's expectations in her event, the high jump. Yamato saves Suzuka life at one point and although he isn't particularly athletic he ends up helping her train for the high jump and a relationship develops between them.

Okay, now there was both the manga and anime for this series, and I must say that the anime has brought many new people to the manga scene. I admit that I first found out Suzuka from the anime series and wandered over to the manga scene cause I wanted to find out what happens after the
manga left off, just like most people I believe.

Well, the Anime series was Subbed by LunarAnime (ahh yes...those lovely people) and you can download the episodes via Bit Torrent (http://a.scarywater.net/lunar/) or their IRC Channel (#lunaranime @ irc.rizon.net) (Hint: Use their XDCC Bots...Nice speeds).
Im sure there might be some Direct Downloads floating somewhere on this vast internet, but, you can look for that yourself. :P

And for those who might be after the manga, you can always try using this very site of StopTazmo.
There is also the superb choice of ChromaSubs Hosting (http://www.chromasubs.com).
ChromaSubs offers the manga downloads in Volumes, so its a ~tad~ easier to download.

Also, please don't bash Suzuka cause you don't like it, try bashing another series like Negima ...hehe

I like the manga, but the anime is really really crappy. And the main characters of this series are really really stupid. Ah well if I would give it a mark it would be 6/10

actually I saw (and read) the manga first (and loved it), then i went to take a look at the anime saw the first chapters but it was kinda crappy, so i just go back to the manga. I think the anime fails in the same way that Ichigo and I"s series sucked, where the producers have limited budget, almost no creative or technical resources and they just stick to the main plot without adding anything new or attractive, so there isnt much reason to watch these animated series if you know about the manga.

Well for me the anime wasn't too bad i felt as if it was a bit rushed though, for me i preferred the anime cause well it seemed more serious unlike the ecchi manga. Although they had a limited budget they carried it out pretty well, but yea if i were to rate it on detail, manga would take the win but the anime i say would give more of a impact to people and i guess give them the feeling that this is more of a romance series, and yes i've read the manga and watched the anime.

Geeeeezz so much bashin' here...........i was about to get the anime but for "some reason" i'm considerin' my decision. Suzuka manga i quite good in it's own way, sure it gets frustratin' at some point since u get the feelin' that the story turns slow n' after 104 chaps u ain't gettin much material but the characters r amusin', the situation way realistic (*cough Negima cough*), cute (got a problem with that?) n' last but definitively not least .... has track n' field!!! (yay :P).oh right it has some fanservice (haha, "some",hha so funny) but it's tolerable to those easely offended ,come on a boob here n' there won't kill u!!(by the way has anybody seen a real nosebleed becuz of watchin' u Know what??? k off topic....)
So far i'm still expectin' some update here at stoptazmo (i'm too lazy to search anywhere else), some character development (this is urgent) n' keepin' my head cool after readin' so much "suzuka suks" like if it was the da vinci code n' we were at the cannes festival. Cheers

But i had read the manga. Seems good. But of course not great enough if comparing with other ecchi manga. Anyway the manga are worth reading. Maybe i'm not too chosy.

Lol you misinterpreted me I didn't mean that the manga was bad it just that i prefer the anime cause it allows the viewer to feel that this story is a romance, and both manga and anime is great it's just that i prefer the anime lol but yea Suzuka would probably be one of my most favourite animes.
