    Default ... manga ending... -- please don't flame -_-

8.) Who is the Shaman King?
-- In the anime Yoh becomes it after doing a sort of sailor moon gig, by "borrowing everyone's furyoku" to beat the "evil" Hao. In the manga, Hao is the shaman king. The warriors all forfeit their claim to fight him and decide they will go after him after he goes into a pseudo-sleep in the ceremony.

ok... i've read a lot of post AND, as you can see, the post about the ending of shaman king manga in the FAQ section. ok. now can someone please expalin the ending with a little more detail. [ i.e. "pseudo-sleep"?!? the alien~ ]

p.s. why is chocolove in jail at the very end?

you'll have to be satisfied with what you've read, because the ending will be more clear once you've read the scanlations (once we get through them all).

Ooooh.... pseudo-sleep. That's kinda like a Windera word right there.

Basically, you have seen this before. It means like a near death experience. For example:
-Yoh going into Yomi Cave during SF prelims
-Ren in book 18 (then healed by Jeanne)
-Each Hao reborn (It's actually death, but...)

Each near death experience increases the shaman's furyoku greatly. The ceremony I believe is so Hao can gain complete control over the Great Spirit (might be wrong, it's been a while).

I don't remember why Chocolove was in jail, but I know it wasn't a selfish act. So Chocolove isn't a bad guy. Also, FnU is a POSSIBLE ending for Shaman King. It's not set in stone, mearly a guess. Takei has ever right to create another "alternate ending."
Know Chinese or Japanese? Want to help with Shaman King, Jyuki Ningen Jumbor, or Butsu Zone translations?

Not only pseudo sleep. Ren's furyoku increased by just seeing the great spirit. Chocolove went to jail because he killed Redseb and Seryam's dad Camel Munzer. Anyway everyone practically dies thrice or so and gets ressurected.

    I agree with andyislands.

Yes the word is from Windera XD lol. She says everything so nicely phrased haha XD Its just taht one that stuck in my mind.

I believe thats not the only reason Chocolove went to jail. I think that he might have just turned himself in at the end. Because if he wanted to, he probably could have escaped.

Thank God!!! I thought the anime's ending was lame. Filler, that explains it. If the manga is over, how can the ending not be set in stone? I've heard rumors of a possible sequel. Will that be considered the end of the story?

i dont read this series but i have seen the anime and am considering reading this series despite what i have just read about the ending but that is my fault. I heard that shaman king was cancelled before it ended but if they have that follow up why is the ending up in the air? i mean doesnt it answer all of the questions?

Well I would recommend reading the manga considering the ending or not, since its very different, and much more deep in the later volumes, that the anime SIMPLY did not cover. The reason it was cancelled was because of funding. Um read the FAQ
