Thread: Drawing Style Question

Question.
Are there 2 different artists? I bought a Shonen jump version of shaman king at borders (the first few volumes) and they look like the ones that you can download here. Then I went to the nearby Japanese bookstore and bought some Japanese version (volumes 25-30) and the drawing is completely different. In the Japanese version they look a lot chibier small and cute. Wats up with this?

vols 1-9: Rooky Takei
vols 10-27: Expert Takei
vols: 28-32: Takei in need of an R & R
(don't know the exact numbers but they're somewhat accurate)

we can seee the transition of takei's work. He well improved. But at the start of the manga they look older than the ones at the end actually. To me it's as if they ummm degrowed xD. Also Takei's style is distorted. You can't tell their heights sometimes. Especially in the anime. Anyway I just wished he continued the manga...

...unfortunetly that's my problem aswell... when I started the manga my drawing stile was different...now I'm annoyed that my stile keeps changeing....if this keeps up I will never finish a manga

Kind of like when you're filling a canvas painting with a solid color starting from the left side and to the right. Eventually it occurs to you that the right side looks somehow really different from the left side where you started off at.

In my opinion he improved VERY greatly...

Was shaman king his first manga? Cause i never seen this happen so obviously in any other manga...

It was his first major one; his first few were only about 1-6 volumes long. I know they include Itako no Anna and Butsu Zone but I don't know of any others.

Does anyone know where to download Itako no Anna. I've heard so much about it I really wanna see it. It pisses me off that I don't have a constant drawing style either

I haven't heard much about, but I think it's kind of like how the Shaman King manga started off: with Yoh doing lots of good acts and also being very lazy and cheap at things by getting help from spirits. I'm sure there's somthing more than that though.

o.o yoh sleeps in class he does not study. he just oversouls a particular ghost and tadaa instant good grades. I just wanna see itako no anna cause her outfit there is cool
