Read and learn. That's how you gain knowledge. And some knowledge of Japanese doesn't hurt either.
I actually own a copy of the game. Also, Jump Superstars is a really fun game. It's worth the $60 to import if you love Weekly Shonen Jump mangas (including Shaman King). The game has series like DBZ, One Piece, Naruto, Kenshin, Yu Yu, Yu-Gi-Oh!, .etc.

A friend is someone who will bail you out of jail, but a best friend is the one sitting next to you saying "that was f***ing awesome"

Only for Nintendo DS, since it uses the touch screen. There was some rumors going around that there will be a similar game for Nintendo Revolution, but nobody has stepped up annoucing that yet.
DS games are region free, so it will play on an American DS with no problems. Remember your DS was built in Japan to begin with!
There are no plans to bring the game over to the US (or any other country) because of licensing issues. Many, many, manga series are in the game, and thier rights are owned by many people outside of Japan. As of right now, nobody is stepping up to make a common ground on which they can translate the game and make huge profits.
It is all Japanese, but, it's a fighter game. Button-mashing = wins. Hardly any plotline, and there are trick (not cheats, tricks) to help you unlock stuff. Plus great online free FAQs and walkthroughs.
