Thread: Whats Hiroyuki TAKEI doing now?

i wanna know! is he retired, still doing manga, or what ever else! just wondering....

As I reported on my website on Sept 24th:

Since Jump Superstars has came out in Japan it has been pretty silent about Shaman King. Hopefully I can get some updates about the Takei Fan Convention soon. But until then, I heard Takei has appeared in Japan!

Well where ever he was, he was doing some drawings and signings for the fans. So far no hints if there when he will start a new series. But this little PR does show that there is a bunch of support for him in Japan, so let's look forward to what comes next!

Am I to understand that he won't be continuing Shaman King like I heard elsewhere?

He's just getting lazy about Shaman King now.

HE IS NOT DEAD!! *dies herself* He is drawing for a new manga series last time I heard. Its somewhere on messworld: http://messworld.suddenlaunch.com/. The manga series isn't his own, just like Obata, he just draws for it.

He is working now in some illustration (original character) for the toy named "SMASH BOMBER" (TAKARA + tommy + BANDAI)
