I doubt they had sex. I mean, it's always possible, but somehow I don't think that was the meaning of the question...Anna just doesn't seem the type to spontaneously ask that. Also, I have a feeling that if that were the case, Takei would have done it in a humourous light...that suits his technique more, and the part in question occurs at a rather serious moment.

Plus, nothing became of it. If it was something like that, he would have made it seem more important.

Not a clue. The end of the 7th volume is, as I recall, the little bit with the Year 2000 New Year's Eve omake thing, and the series would appear to start in the summer of 1997. So yeah, it's probably about a year before the Shaman Fight's finish, maybe a bit less. Probably not more, though.

Actually, Takei uses a different technique than most artists--plus it's not shoujo (er..however u spell it), so he wouldn't necessarily emphasize it any more than that. He's all about subtlety when it comes to romance.

Anna and Yoh had to have sex at some point before the end of the Shaman fight, if we look at Hana's age and the timeline. However, Takei never highlighted it.

I always wondered if this was when Anna got pregnant (ch 77), but then the timeline seems off (that or Takei messed up) if it's around a year before the end. I guess we'll never find out.

If it weren't for the fact that Anna never appears to be pregnant at any point in the series, Yoh actually could have impregnated her in 77. That would have been early 2000...I wish I knew the exact date of the Shaman's fight end, it was probably in late 2000/very early 2001. If Hana is 6 years old in Funbari no Uta, and FnU takes place 6 years after the end of the main storyline, and you give Anna 9 months for pregnancy...Hana must have been conceived during the Shaman Fight Main Tournament.

You guys think about this waaaaay too much.
