Thread: Reiyoku, Furyoku & Oversoul Use

Hi i've been reading the manga over and was wondering if anyone could help me clear this up.
In chapter 58 it showed Yoh with a Furyoku of 270 and Amidamaru with a Reiyoku of 920
using a O.S. with a power of 30.It showed that the amount used to create an O.S. is subtracted from the users furyoku.However in chapter 184 Blocken says that a Shaman uses Furyoku to control there spirits and that it is impossible for a Shaman to control a spirit who's Reiyoku is stronger than the Shamans Furyoku.
So my question is how was Yoh able to control Amidamaru who has more Reiyoku than Yoh has Furyoku?

i think it was something like
if reiyoku = LARGE (strong spirit) then more furyoku is needed to do oversoul
if reiyoku = SMALL (weak spirit) then less furyoku was needed than in the case above *hence you could oversoul more(?)

if reiyoku = OVERKILL HUGE and furyoku = not enough then you cant even create an oversoul.

they are not valued at 1:1 ratio, hence i dont need to worry about having 100 value furyoku for 500 value spirit...
but if i have say... 100 furyoku and im trying to control... spirit-x at 500,000 reiyoku, i may be dreaming... if i succeeded xD

Well you are on the mark about what blocken said, but I think youre a little confused on the furyoku and reiryoku. The 920 is yoh's max spiritual power, not his spirit's power (amidamaru). So the 270 was only what he was starting off with, like his default level. This is why ren who had a current level and oversoul power greater than yohs didnt have greater overall spiritual power.
