i was just wondering why anna didnt join in the shaman fight? i mean it says king and all but haos team has girls on it and anna could have helped yoh.

Possibly because she DOESN'T want to help Yoh. Just like when Pailong was beating the crap out of him, she said something like, "He won't become Shaman King if he can't beat someone like this." She doesn't want him to have the easy way out because she wants him to get stronger. And also she probably didn't join because she didn't have a spirit during the 1st round so she doesn't qualify.

Or maybe she's too lazy to help Yoh. Then again, I'm not sure she's the type to be in the shaman fight.

She's an itako, not a shaman. Which means that yeah, she doesn't have a spiritual partner to work with. Though I'll bet she'd kill the competition if she had participated...which is probably why the creators didn't put her in. XD Had to give Yoh some sort of a chance, right? ^_~

Itako IS a shaman. Maybe she didn't want to do the dirty work. let Yoh do all the jobs and when Yoh become Shaman King, she can lead a leisurely life with him. She trusts that Yoh will succeed and why do she have to participate when Yoh can give her all she wants (if he become Shaman King of course)?

Oh, I always thought itako and shaman were two separate things. Guess I was wrong. My bad. ^^

Well, itako is a certain type of shaman. They say it somewhere in shaman king. It is a traditional Japanese shaman which is also known as a spirit medium.

The itako were young blind girl spiritualists in traditional Japan and other traditional Asian cultural regions. The women's spirituality manifested in the study of mother goddesses, healing, shamanism, and fortune-telling.

It's odd. Itako is the type of shaman used by BLIND girls. Anna, however, is obviously not blind.

Hmm... that WOULD be an interesting twist to the story... Pointless, but interesting...

nawh she ain't blind, in volume like 19 miki says since she isn't blind and she is an itako it means she has a real talent or strength not too sure...
