Well we have three new chapters/reincarnations and Yoh is back from hell in time to save the day but Anna is still in trouble as she seems to be refusing to use "that ability" I bet that ability she refuses to use is her supposidly lost mindreading ability.

i dont think its the mind reading ability so much as the ability to draw out the emotions from the people around her to oversoul powerful onis. She can create a powerful oversoul, but she loses herself in the hate that she absorbs by creating said oversoul. Come to think of it, hao is full of hate now isnt he....? Im still waiting for them to reveal ryu's new oversoul.

I haven't read the Shaman King manga yet but..wasn't it canceled?

No he's right. It was a reference to Anna's lost ability of Reishi (mind reading) which was the root of her ability to summon/create oni. Ryu's new oversoul won't debut for some time actually. Takei sort of forgot about it until the closing chapters.
