Thread: Funbari no Uta takes place in 2007

I just noticed that Funbari no Uta is set in 2007. !_!
andysislands' rumor about the conclusion volume of Shaman King popped into my mind. Hmmm, interesting coincidence, huh? What do you guys think?

2007 is just a number he tossed out there, sort of. There are reasons behind it.

He started Funbari no Uta in 2003. So, he figured that Shaman King would end somewhere in the next 4 years. By that time, everything he wanted to say would have come to an end. Takei wouldn't have known that Shaman king would have ended how and when it did, so there was no "hidden plan."

But, 2007 did get re-used, in Jyuki Ningen Jumbor, the semi-sequel to SK. Starts in 3002, but then moves into 3007 for the rest of the story. These aren't numbers pulled randomly, but with meaning.


Also, people since 2006 have been making this connection in Japan, and have really been hoping on it. The amount of build up, waiting for an annoucement that SK will return with the Jumbor volume in 2 days is scary.

I think the Shaman King Storyline was about 1999/2000. Doesn't Funbari no Uta takes place 5 or 6 years after that? Hana is five, right?...oh okay...it might come to 2007....
