I have seen the anime of Shaman king, and now I'm reading the manga. Is it me or the manga is slightly different from the anime?

Yes, it is. And when Yoh meets Hao in forest, the story starts to be completle else. I prefer manga. It's deeper and more beautiful. The pictures are strange at beginning, but later are OK. In the other hand, anime is funnier![]()

I'll pull my responce from the FAQ stickied:
4.) Is the manga like the anime?
-- NO! The ending is totally different, and truth be told, the ending of the anime had nothing to with Takei, it was made up by the animators who were in a hurry to end it. The manga goes into much more detail.
5.) Okay, so when does it diverge?
-- the manga and the anime are pretty much similar until they reach around volume 17. Of which Ren dies in the manga and the anime doesnt have that, and from then on they are two different entities.
Know Chinese or Japanese? Want to help with Shaman King, Jyuki Ningen Jumbor, or Butsu Zone translations?

ending
~ Sry, my English is terrible >.< ~
question. did takei actually work on the anime?i mean it's soo different from the manga...the story as well as the drawind style itself(seams so crapy in the anime if you ask me):P
yes, and, as always, manga > anime
ofc, this is viceversa if the anime was made before the manga...which seldom happens
