    Meh, if I ever get a mod chip, I'll get it anyway. Hell, sometimes the only reason I read a manga is because I like the look of one character, even if the manga is crap, so why wouldn't I play a fighting game where you can play as Ryu and Chocolove?

    Heehee. *boing boing boing*!!

    I dont' know where my English article went, but here's the French version:
    Top half of page only.

    Or you can check out this forum topic for info (but don't post in it, since the people who did post there, don't any more, since the topic is from 2004):

    As like all Japanese games, a certian amount of Japanese is needed to completely understand the game. But since it's a fighter game, I don't know how much is really needed. My guess is that you can get some way through the game, but you may get stuck.

    But if there is enough people that want me to build a small guide, I think I can do it. But I need some motivation.
    Thanks for the info, but I know about all that.
    (I'm an import gamer, and I can read some Japanese)

    So you have the game, but never played it?
    On estarland you can get the newest version of swap magic for $22.
    If you have a slim PS2, all you have to do is order the little $5 set of sensor blockers from another site. If you have a regular PS2, the swap magic/slide card combo can be gotten from estarland for $26.

    I ordered the game, should be coming here in a few days.

    My slide card should be here sometime next week.

    Videos of gameplay should start popping up around the 12th. Assuming all goes well.

    Now it begins. The start of an unknown number of days of videos! All these videos feature my gameplay from Shaman King: Funbari Spirits.

    So, to start off, watch this introductory video:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cTqIYuKArGI
    Can you guess the song in the background? Post a comment (here or at Youtube) if you know.

    It's very important that you watch all these videos in order. Since these are all just direct feeds from my gameplay, if you watch them out of order, it's like you are watching episode 5 of a TV series before seeing episode 2. So, watch them in order.

    After you watch that, now let's get to the meat:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dZkIcI4II_o

    And part 2:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z_7D3rZWlZg

    And part 3:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9iOloh6R7gY

    Can you name the all 3 theme songs playing in the background at the start of each video? It's going to be a re-accurring thing in each of the videos so it's a test of your SK skills.

    3 more videos coming tomorrow. Check back here for more updates as well as my thoughts on the game!

    For more videos, check out my website ( http//thegreatspirit.net ), since I don't know if I'll remember to keep posting new videos.

    That game... haven't played in a while.... You can only play as Yoh and Manta in the story, but for battles, you can play as Yoh, Faust, Ryu, Ren, Chocolove, Horo, Anna, Manta, Rebseb, Sati, Marso, Lyserg, Iron Maiden, Hao, And the guy from Butsu Zone... XDDDD... I'm pretty sure you an get by without a walkthrough, it's not that hard but might not unlock everything..... I only need one more thing to unlock (I think it's the mini games...)
    By the way, I'm still looking for the ending soundtrack, when you beat the game... I can't find any soundtracks (aside from the S.F.O.V.) from that game... D= so if you know where to find it, PM meee =DDDD

    I'm going to rip the ending theme song and put it into an .mp3, so don't worry.

    How many different storylines are there? Since, I never saw Sennju (the Butsu Zone guy), Sati appeared once, and I never saw Anna or Manta fight. Plus, I never got Byakkou. So, I must have picked a very quick path to play through or something, right?

    Smile Hi to everyone!

    HI!

    I am a new member of this forum and I just bought the Funbari Spirits game.

    I played through Story Mode, beat Hao and in my finale Yoh dissapears before Hao, his friends and a shocked Anna... was that the bad ending??

    Well the main problem is that after that, only Marco was unlocked for the VS mode so I want to ask... How I can unlock ALL the other characters for VS mode???

    Thanks everyone!

    Gasshu Beru! and I think will be making a mini FAQ for this game. He's already played through the story mode once as well. Yes, that's the bad ending.

    Gasshu Beru!, can you just post my 2 really long PMs I sent to you first, which explain who and how are people are unlocked? I guess I really need to get around to playing this game again....

    EDIT!!!!!! - I cannot unlock Anna! When I fight her with Manta, she is invincible! Any tips, anyone?

    Here's the basic character unlocking methods.
    (this is easier than copying those messages)

    Marco - Beat Story Mode with the Bad ending.
    Lyserg - Beat Shaman King Mode (arcade mode) with Yoh.
    Satei - Beat Shaman King Mode (arcade mode) with Lyserg.
    Redseb - Beat Shaman King Mode (arcade mode) with Chocolove.
    Manta - Beat Manta's Story Mode.
    Anna - Beat her in Manta's Story Mode completely by guard-breaking.
    Jeanne - Beat Shaman King Mode (arcade mode) with Manta.
    Hao - Beat Shaman King Mode (arcade mode) with Anna.
    Sennjuu - Shadow unlocked by beating Shaman King Mode (arcade mode) with Hao, true unlocking unknown.

    Here is how you get the good ending to unlock Manta's Story Mode.

    Please Note: a chapter begins when Yoh's house is shown with some Japanese characters. That is the chapter name, and Anna will read it out loud.

    PATH TO GOOD ENDING-THE FARIES
    ------------------------------------

    Chapter 1
    ~~~~~~~~~
    -Go to the dock and get Ryu.
    -Go to the Restaurant and talk to Rajimu.
    -Go to the dock and talk to Rajimu again.
    -Go to the Beach and get HoroHoro.
    -Go to the Cave, and talk to Lyserg if you wish.
    ++FAIRY #1 GET!++
    You must search the Cave near where Lyserg is standing. You will most definately find it.
    Chapter 2
    ~~~~~~~~
    -Go to the Forest.
    ++FAIRY #2 GET!++
    It is hidden in the flowers at the entrance.
    ++FAIRY #3 GET++
    It is by the well.
    Continue the chapter, do as you wish to get it done.

    Chapter 3
    ~~~~~~~~
    -Leave Yoh's house and Talk to Anna & Manta if you wish. ++FAIRY #4 GET!++
    It is next to Anna & Manta.
    -Go to the Restaurant and talk to Miki until he leaves.
    -Go to the River, fight Redseb.
    -Immidiately go back to the River.
    ++FAIRY #5 GET!++
    It is in front of the tent.
    That is all of the fairies. (or orbs)
    Here is how you find the special scenes. (YES, there are two)
    GUIDE TO THE SPECIAL SCENES
    ---------------------------------
    In Chapter 5, Team THE REN, go to the Warehouse once it is lit up. A scene with Miki will occur. Next, go to the Beach even though it is not lit up.
    The special scene will now start.
    Next, you MUST take the path to fight Satei at the Cave. If you don't, you may get the normal ending.
    Assuming you are now at the Cave, beat Satei. The second special scene will occur.
    Finally, I don't know if this effects the endings, but there is a scene in the Forest shack with Matamune. It happens right before you fight Team THE REN, I believe. (I forgot to write down exactly)
    Have fun!
