Thread: Shaman King scanslation small image resolution

Is anyone else bothered by the fact that the images around chapter 190 become smaller than 400x600? Is it supposed to be that way? I mean, I can't even read a lot of the text.

I know these are free downloads, and I'm thankful to both the translators and StopTazmo, but it just seems weird to put up scans that you can't even read.

Also, I wasn't sure if this was the right place to post. Apologies if it's not.

But yeah... what's with the tiny images?

i think its a different sourse of release starting around there...

you can.. or atleast i can, change some settings and you should be able to see them bigger... or you can always zoom.

other than that, i think its better due to size reduction (large pic = bigger size file to store and download)

In some cases, I'd agree, but these images are just such low res. You know, like if you take a 10x10 pixel image and zoom in on it, you still end up seeing 100 giant pixels on your screen.

The problem with these is that the text itself is only like a few pixels high sometimes. It's almost like the original typesetting was done at a reasonable resolution, but then before uploading (maybe either by the uploader or whoever zipped the files) someone downsized the images.

It's a shame because they aren't bad scans or translations.

try to read through those, i think they get bigger a bit later.

No. We are two seperate groups. If you want better quality scanlations, you got two options.

1. Buy the manga
2. Wait for Manga-Rain's scanlations. Mankin-Trad is NOT going back and doing those.

are you sure those image sizes are even because of you guys? it looks like it was originally at a much higher resolution, and whoever uploaded it downsized them. have you looked at what I'm talking about? I don't think it's your guys' fault, actually.

I know what chapter we did. They were by the same translator, till she joined us in Mankin-Trad.

The resolution was decreased because of MSN website limitations. But even though we have the same translator, we aren't going back and releasing them.
