Thread: Yoh's second spirit

I'm not sure but I think Matamune was intended to be Yoh's second spirit. Yoh already has a medium for him (The Necklace) and he intended on reviving since he passed away.

Do you guys think Horo Horo and Ren would have gotten 2nd spirits?

Matamune was Yoh's first Mochirei. You can think of the necklace as a memento, if you must.

I don't know if Yohken can be considered as Yoh's second Mochirei, or even the Spirit of Earth, since we never saw Yoh using them in battle. Well, at least Yohken, since the manga ended before Yoh could get the Spirit of Earth.

Umm... Yoh even admitted Matamune was his first spirit partner. He's line was something like...

"I guess Matamune was my first true friend, even before I met you, Amidamaru."

So, Amidamaru is 2nd. Plus you could always forget about those few side stories in the first volume....

I never thought about him using the spirit of earth. Interesting.....

Do you think he might have oversouled with both Amidamarou and Matamune had the manga continued?

Possibly, as he learned (was it learned or copied?) his katana oversoul from matamune.

Matamune oversoul as the katana and Amidamaru with Hyoi Gattai. Huge sword + samurai reflexes.

I understand it was not a powerful spirit, but wasn't Bason's horse Ren's "second spirit"?

Whoa, I compeltely forgot Bason had a horse! But I, for one, think Matamune will probably be very dead until Yoh (or somebody who is not Hao) gets the Great Spirit... On another note, what stops Anna from calling him back?

Lyserg, Ren, Horohoro, Yoh, and Chocolove all get another spirit. It's the spirits of the elements of the Patch Tribe. Lyserg=fire (after Hao ditches it in favor of the Great Spirit), Ren=thunder, Horohoro=river, Yoh=earth, Chocolove=wind. However, we never get to see them using them or anything because of the imfamous Princess Hao ending... ;_;

What!!! How did they get them!? Also wouldn't the 5 great spirits reiyoku be to high?

I think Yoh will get matamune soon...because
in the last chapter i read ( from comic book )
, Yoh go to hell because of Gandara & he
will meet Matamune in hell.

From what I remember, it wasn't Matamune, but the giant monster that was in Anna's heart.

As for the 5 Elemental Spirits, yoh and the group had other people get them. All the spirits were obtained and were obtained and ready to bring to the kids except for the Spirit of Earth which is where the manga ended.
