Thread: If oversouls can't cast shadows...

As I rest on my bed one night and picked up one of my brought Sk volumes, I re-read when Ren went against his father. Wow a thought just passed my mind.

Now onto the topic, oversouls don't / can't cast shadows right? Ren's father shouldn't have a huge shadow. This means that everyone should have noticed that Ren's father's enormous body is just an oversoul.

Here's one pic. There may be more, Im just a bit lazy right now.

Just for all of you to know, I don't care much for this plot hole, just wanted to keep the Shaman king forum a lil bit more alive. (hopefully it worked..)

Well.. This is a big mistake for the mangaka(dont remember he's name =S)..

Edit: I havent said it makes the manga worser, have I? No... Actually i dont care about mistakes like that...

His oversoul is wearing clothes maybe? Plotholes happen, accept them. They don't make a manga worse.

Why do these oversouls not have shadows, Im pretty sure they have quite a lot of furyoku in them to cast somewhat a shadow?
does this mean that the below pics are just because the manga-ka was a bit lazy?

I guess over souls dont cast shadows in general, but Ren's dad's over soul form wore a giant set of real clothes. So that could be an explanation. Btw andysislands, dont oversouls 'not' cast shadows?

well, maybe, Ren's dad clothes is a trick to produce shadow. Oversoul can't produse a shadow but it can touch a real thing likes clothes.oversoul doesn't produce a shadow, the clothes does.So, they can't recognize the fact that the truly of big giant body was an oversoul.
