Default is it should be Black&White?

I've been looking through SK and I have a question about why is scanlating pages are all B&W, although there are pages in color sometimes in manga.
I mean is it manga drawn in this way or the people who scanned it do so?

BTW, I'll be glad if someone help me with my english

...Yes, as in most mangas, the pages are originally drawn in black and white. It's because, when the series was ongoing, a new chapter came out every week. And a week isn't really alot of time to draw the manga in; let alone color it. So it's in black and white because the author's don't have the time (and sometimes the desire) to color it.

i don't think the time is the problem here..hmmm...ok maybe it is...but still i don't think they want to color it. the fact that it's black and white makes it more dynamic plus if you look at the drawings closely you can notice that most of the "pictures" don't have a background (it's mosly black or white it depends on the emotions they want to transmit). if they would have coulored it they should have also draw the backgr.AND if they would have have THAT then the center of interest (the character) would have a lower impact on the reader. =))

Money's probably also a factor. I can imagine that mangas would cost twice as much as they do if they were all in color.

Generally, you only see color pictures at the beginning of some of the tankobans or on a special occasion. I consider it a rare treat to see a color picture.

or, sometimes, the author will put out a color chapter for a special occasion or such. or maybe Shonen Jump will just run a color edition. but it sometimes happens that you get full chapters in original color...

yes money could be a factor....but it depends on how long the manga is.for example i'm buying a manga that has aprox. 30 pages in every volume and it's also coloured but it's not very expensive.
anyway i'm not buying sk..they don't sell it in my country.i wanna ask you: in the sk manga ..a volume contains practically the number of pages from a chapter here at stoptazmo?

I got it.. Weel, I guess I'LL never have a color SK manga.
In color it may look less dynamic and a secret meaning, but it still look great to me..
You won't belive, but in my city there is no way at all to buy a manga, unless you buy it via internet.

    -Amidamaru Profile
    -Oyamada Manta Profile
-Bokutou No Ryu + Gang picture
-Popularity Survey (1 page) first edition
-Popularity Survey (3 page) 2nd edition
    -Exotica Cover page
    -Mappa Douji
(T##) stands for "Tome ##". Tome is the french word used for volume.

Also, Takei wasn't great at coloring. If he had to do it, he would sometimes get one of his helpers to do it, I believe. Currently, I believe there isn't a list that contains every Weekly Jump issue which a Shaman King character was on the cover (as a primary character, not just some bubble head). I might make one at some point. Maybe....

It seems I missed something. I don't know who BadS is.. And where to get colours pages? I have all volumes up to 177, but there is only one color page in T1 - the cover. I didn't checked other Tomes, but it seems there is nothing like you wrote either.

whenever a manga volume is released all of the pages are releases in greyscale. You might notice a page or two that is darker than the others, well that one was color in the jump but it is in greyscaled in the tank, so you have all the color pages released just not in color
