Even though I am a total zero when it comes to Japanese I've managed to get the gist of the story, so here is my conclusion: KJ repeats himself and this chapter is much worse than the previous ones. This joke with the pen has been used by him in School Rumble already. Chapters 1 and 2 at least held some romantic comedy in them while this chapter totally lacks the spirit of School Rumble. I mean switch Harima of this chapter with some other character and nothing will change. The worst chapter of School Rumble Z so far.

I'm going to read and hope I won't get disappointed.

well as for the story. its basically Harima being poor and miserable for being a mangaka then a (model? thats what the words say. don't ask me why. my jap is as bad as a preschooler.) scout found him and made him rich. Then Tenma came and cause it to burn it all. Then he goes back to being a mangaka.... I don't get it. @_@

About the end of this chapter, I don't get it either. But this particular parody chapter really sucks.

Wait a minute, maybe these chapters are just a brilliant bait and switch by the writer. First he pisses everyone off making us think it's just a series of crappy parodies, but then it switches to real Harima and they were just rejected manga ideas he's been drawing. And then BOOM back to the real story and we can all start liking school rumble again.
I really hope this is the case. Hope with me.

(PS: kudos to this forum. We've been getting screwed the last few ,well let's face it, months and nobody's lost their temper yet and start flaming. Mature high-five to this whole forum.)

^nice theory. it might be the case but check the first page on the top right. It specifically says "parallel comedy". So Either it meant this chapter only or for the whole series. I'm starting to be doubtful and think it is for the whole series. u_u

btw thanks for thinking that way. Well losing our temper wouldn't make any difference anyway.

i got a question, so far chapters come 1 per month, so its been dificult, but if i read right it says next one on november 20,... i mean, WTF, if its supposed to be a parallel comedy series, then why the 4th one will come in 2 weeks instead a month as previous ones, its a lot faster than before.. i wonder.. oh and btw... how come hes living alone, if its not a parody then how old is he, anyone had any idea how much real time passed betwen chapter 282 and 283.. my guess is that wasnt more than the summer break, cuz they dont seem that old, but if it wasnt and was actually 5 years or so, then how the hell is that they look the same... im starting to think harima just left suddenly on one of his spiritual trips to america and leaved everyone behind, and how come tenma called him if hes in japan? wasnt she gonna stay on the united states, .. umm maybe its not a parody.....

I'd say there is no point thinking hard about these things, D Gold. Personally for me chapters 282 and 283 DO NOT exist so I prefer to think that SR has just been suspended for an unknown period of time.

As for the SRZ chapters, it's not that I'm loosing my temper, rather I'am feeling slightly depressed. I do know that I'm not the one to judge what is KJ thinking since I'm not aware of his circumstances but these parody chpaters just won't do. I'd really like for him to officialy anounce wheter he is going to continue drawing SR or not. Still, I wonder what Japanese readers have to say about this

you guys think maybe KJ just couldn't decide how to end the series or more importantly who ends up with who? So he just bailed out, prematurely ended the series and is now using these crapbag parodies to make us all lose interest and then he longer has to make any final decisions on the series. It's a brilliant and evil plan. Damn him.

Okay fantastic and brilliant theories aside the sad and brutal is that this is probably the direction this series will be taking and we can't even be sure of that because there hasn't been any official confirmation from the writer or the magazine that publishes it. I hate this, i really like this series.

hey, it's not a ♯ chapter, it's a ♮ chapter!! quite misleading.. i guess it's about harima being a mangaka..
