I don't believe so, i'm thinking that it will show that for the longest time now, eri still has feelings for harima, thus nullifying his statement of cheap feelings. based on my impressions, even if harima is a bit low, he can still respect such courage from other people. and showing eri's feelings takes a huge amount of courage, although the timing is really off.

I'm going to have to agree with Sansafro here Vekou, a kiss is not what's needed here. Eri needs to make it clear to Harima that her feelings aren't cheap and a kiss definitely won't do that. A kiss would probably show him that her feelings are cheap. He doesn't know she's had thing for him for awhile now so his thoughts would probably be something along the lines of "how many other guys has she kissed like this." What needs to happen is a confession from Eri, possibly with a lot of tears. She needs to lay herself bare, in terms of her emotions, in front of Harima and that's not something I see happening quite yet, though I do see the beginning of it with the final frame of this chapter.

^ well for now, harima doesn't accept reasons. for now he's a "man", and as they say, a "man" can only learn when they experience it through their bodies. maybe a kiss is a bit forward (but i'm really hoping), at least it will give harima some other things to think about instead of turning back to his former self. hopefully, it will soften his heart a little.

I believe Harima does not understand for how long Eri was trying to get to him, maybe the approach at her birthday. That wouldn't be too long, so Harima might thing she just decided on that. Reason ? Many, but Harima is not concerned on making the list.

In the end he missunderstoods everything, but somehow he was right...Ms. Worker-san, wasn't it ?

A simple deep honest hug would do the trick ^^

Kiss can be misunderstood, a hug well, less likely. That I think better way to console somebody.

A kiss to console a broken heart? that would lead to disaster.

This has to be a turning point in their relationship. All the buildup we've seen up to now, as well as the frenzied pace the plot has been developing, points to this conclusion. One thing that really pisses Harima off is Eri's pride (and he's pretty justified in that), and to see tears in her eyes has probably shocked him back to reality.

Remember that SR prides itself in its hopelessly tangled love web of lies, misunderstandings, and silences. Once the truth comes out, characters can't go back to how they were before, because they must respond to the truth that's staring them in face. This is easily one of the most vulnerable moments we've seen Harima in, and now Eri is (involuntarily?) opening herself up as well. There's bound to be some sort of revelation here for both of them, I can feel it.

    Don't let me down, author-guy.

From the comments on townsocks' site it looks like townsocks is a flag fan too.

Anyways, great for flag to pick up some action but we all know that KJ will reset it in the near future. You may deny it but it's pretty much what KJ's been doing since the beginning.

KJ knew flag is popular so he gave what the fans want and then start to milk the series again later.

I just love this chapter....*sob sob*

It would be interesting to see where this will take the two of them.

Both being so stubborn about their feelings, and now being in their weakest moment... Hopefully it will open a path for a romantic relationship between the two (Finally ^_^). Eri realizing that she needs to be more honest with how she feels(Setting aside her pride and all), and Harima realizing that going back to what he was will solve nothing, that he must move on.

Harima can easily be seen as jerk in this chapter, what with blowing his anger on Eri and all. But you've got to admit, at the very least he knows who it is he loves and is not being indecisive. That is something we can admire (His will power to resist the opposite sex is just WOW, I wouldn't be able to do it >.< ). And I think it's also something that Eri likes about the guy (Lucky b*stard...).

devius, I think you're right on the money regarding their relationship. I still don't think Harima will ever go for her, but he may see her in a better light after this. Conflict has a way of either driving people farther apart or bringing them closer.
