It doesn't come as a total surprise to me. After all, Hanai is really the only candidate for Akira--and the series has hinted a bit that she might have a thing for him on a few occasions.
As for Eri vs. Yakumo for snapping Harima back to reality, I'm honestly getting really sick of Eri these days. She's remained largely the same for awhile now, while we've seen some very crucial and dramatic Yakumo moments. She'll never humble herself and buckle down. Frankly, she doesn't deserve Harima, or anyone else for that matter.
Now, if she did stop being the uppity princess for a bit, she might have a chance, but it's a small one.
Oh, and Iori is quite the pimp.
