You know, from the moment they overheard the talk about Karasuma being sick, I thought that it will end up with something like bladder problems or bad infection on his toe. But in the end, terminal disease.. Karasuma is dying on us and he knew that since the beginning - that's why he could postpone is travel, I guess his parents would let him since there isn't anything he can do now.
Damn, that's really sad about Karasuma...
Well, it's hard to belive that KJ is gonna kill off him. It hardly syits SR light style. On the other hand we have already had some "dark" moment, like tha one with the slap and Yakumo's remorse. So it may not be that off-style.
"I still think SR is comedy. He'll probably just fine."
That is what I would like to say. Almost every serious event in SR ended with comedy. It probably just another plot to get the story going. If Karasuma really having an uncurable, why would he even bother get the treatment? If I were him, I would spent my time with everyone until the last moment and not "dumped" everyone to get some treatment before he die.
^Well, I can understand his behaviour and it actually makes sense. He is geting medical treatment because it prolongs his life, even if only for a year or too. And he is avoiding geting involved with Tenma because he doesn't want ot hurt her.
Maybe he lost hope - that's why he stayed this year in Japan - but his parents insist that he will come and give it a try. As simple as that...
If there was a hope he wouldn't have said "I'll never see you again".
Maybe it is just a mistake the doctor made, it always happen in comedy series.
When Karasuma said "I can't be cured" it ended with "or so I've heard". He make it sounds like a rumor. That mean there is still some chance he would be alive.
Maybe he really is an alien and this body he is occupying will really die...

His talk about humans and 'next time I'm going to die' really look alienish..
