12 gb a month. we usually run out at the second week of the month. too much anime and manga XD. as soon as my bandwidths gone. my speed drops into a dial-up speed. It takes 2-3 days just to download one episode of anime. >_<
so its only 6 mb. I could download it on my day off. I don't have to wait for my bandwidth to return. ^^
You should get a more flexible internet plan... mine has a cap of 6gb and I Can buy an extra 50gb for $40 when my cap runs out... I usually download... a lot... I don't wanna say how much lol.
....I steal internet...seriously, we have free wireless internet in our library, so I just sit there with my laptop...
If you're seeing jibberish, it's probably because either your computer or browser isn't set up to display Japanese text. I think Control Panel > Regional and Language options has a section for "East Asian Languages" that lets you display Japanese text. I can't remember if you have to do anything to firefox or not.
You don't actually have to know Japanese. You just need to know which block of text matches the character you're voting for, so you can copy and paste it in. It takes some getting used to, but it's a lot of fun to participate in once you get the hang of it.
Do any of you want to see a chart for the current progress in the tournament? I can post it up here if you want.
^Yeah, if you would be so kind - I'm sure everyone is interested about Eri-sama's and others progress
I second that! I want to see everyones ranking too
btw I'm using the pc at work and it doesn't have any other language except for english (I checked it before. were not allowed to install anything here ).
as for the internet. we use a wireless connection so our plans aren't that flexible. >_<
This one is just for Round 2 onwards, but it's the most recently updated one that I could find. Tenma, Yakumo, Mikoto, and Karen were all eliminated in Round 1, so they don't show up in this particular chart. I'll try to dig up a chart with the past matches if I can, but most of the links to the old charts are dead.
That should also give you an idea of the dates of upcoming matches. Of course, when you factor in the time difference, the match usually starts sometime in the previous day for non-Japanese voters because Japan is in an earlier timezone than pretty much anyone else (about 12 hours ahead of the North American timezones). So for example, Eri's next match is listed as being on October 3rd, but most of the world starts voting sometime on the 2nd due to the timezone difference.
Oh, and if you're curious, here are some things regarding last year's results (2006):
Top 8 (2006):

Lost fucking cause. They'll all be overshadowed by KyoAni's latest abortion anyhow. Besides the code generator is rejecting many more foreign ISPs than last year, it seems they're trying to prevent us filthy gaijins from affecting their "who can adhere to a godawful stereotype best" contest.
In last year a girl-character won I never heard off, while I know all semi-finalists
Most of 2ch does not think like that. Otherwise, there would not be an English webpage that was made. Some do not like foreign voters to be allowed, but many people disagree. There are some foreign voters too that do not like that so many Japanese vote for characters they do not find moe. This sort of fighting can not be avoided.
