    Default Chapter 238 *Hot spoilers?*

Courtesy of Kid Chrono at Animesuki and Wannabe.

Mai, the class president, is the person everyone relies on.
Tsukamoto Tenma, a little bit of progress. Really little.
Harima Kenji, while in the hospital he overheard Karasuma's secret.
Harima, of course there is no party for him when he leaves the hospital.

Tomorrow is the walking festival. Mai-chan is explaining the itinerary and plans to the class.
Then they discuss who they will walk with. The four ladies talk about what they will do about Tenma's problem.
Tenma wants to walk alone at a good time. Mikoto lets out a cheerleader shout and recieves a calm stare from Sawachika and Takano[not sure if that's right...]

    Harima is watching all this.
H: "What am I going to do? Should I tell Tenma-chan Karasuma's situation?
...How can I say that to Tenma who look so happy?.

Yet, thinking about this clearly, with this in the open Tenma-chan will be free.

Then let me give this the finishing blow!"

While thinking this he is touched by Karasuma.

H: "Hey, Karasuma. I heard about it..."

They leave the room and talk by themselves.
H: "Are you really going to America?"
    K: "Yeah"
H: "Is that right...(Yes, this is great! Get out of here quick!!) What are you going to do about Tsukamoto?"

    K: "..."

H: "(Hehe.. Things line up like this just invite negligence[not sure..]) A man would do things properly. As with your manga, there was an agreement on the ending wasn't there."

K: "You're right... If you say it like that, I'm weak."

H: "No, I'm not trying to criticize or anything.(Yes! Next is the unreasonable request of asking him to break off any lingering attachments in Japan!!)

H: But you know. What is America to you?! Chicken-shin!! If you are really in love!! [he says something about Tenma and the manga, which I believe is about not letting the opportunities go, but I'm not sure] (How do you like that!! You can't do it can you!?)

K: "Ah, yeah that's right. I have this hand, right? I'll do it."

H: "Wa..Wait... Of course you should listen to both sides.. And here, your hopes will close!!
And here, first of all you are taking responsibility for your manga..."

    K: "No, it's ok.
That's right. I'll also ask her to be my girlfriend"

    AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
If this is true, it's quite the development. Karasuma having an interest in Tenma should seal True Oudou, though it's no guarantee. For one thing, there could be some huge misunderstanding going on here (I have no idea how Kobayashi would pull this off), and I've seen series where a main character has rejected the long-time unrequited love after the love stopped being unrequited.

My favorite thing about this development is that it opens up a possibility for Harima to reject Tenma (because Karasuam and she are in love, maybe seeing that his feelings for Tenma are false) without Tenma rejecting him. Regardless, I am quite excited for the RAW and Townsocks's translation.

I suppose for this some special circumstance are required.

Above all, the main character needs to have a relationship with someone secretly in love with the main character that's more developed than the protagonist's relationship with his/her own unrequited love. Also, there's usually hints that the relationship the main character initially desires won't work out. This describes Flag's position better than Oudou's, in my opinion.

I doubt he will reject Tenma, but...

I always wondered who was talking on the very first page of School Rumble. "I'll definitely tell you that thanks to you, I was happy..." At first I thought it was Tenma telling it to Karasuma, but lately I've been thinking it was Harima telling it to Tenma. I believe those will be his farewell words to her.

I guess we'll find out in a month or two...

Karasuma is such a funny guy. He gives up his manga promotion for Tenma with no qualms while Harima gets his mixed hopes dashed.

True Oudou's fate will be sealed? I don't think so (at least that easily), we must never forget that This is School Rumble !!

^Exactly. No pair is ever sealed in this series...though Ichijou x Imadori is consistently solidifying.
