Thread: Chapter 228 Discussion *Spoilers*

Imadori pesters them for Dojibiron merch. [toys in the kids' meals?]

Ichi is in a bad spot, as usual.

Her part-time coworker, a college student named Suzuki, appears.

He deals lightly with Imadori, then cheerfully converses with Ichi about this and that

Seeing that, Imadori, unable to stay quiet, leaves the place.

Ichi does not look especially disappointed.

3 hours later. Imadori, at a clothing store.

Suzuki, from before, and a friend are there together.

Imadori is annoyed for some reason and tries to leave, but the voice of Suzuki, who has a girlfriend and wants to have Ichi as nothing more than a "playmate", reaches his ears.

The next day, at school.

Imadori questions Ichijou about her relationship with Suzuki.

Though Ichi doesn't want to talk about it, she looks quite happy.

Imadori thinks on the terrace. He contemplates Ichi's body, briefly.

And instantly an image of Ichi and Suzuki crosses his mind.

Becoming more and more irritated, he goes around inviting other girls on dates, as revenge.

But, this particular time isn't good for any of them.

"Hm? If it's him/her, then it's certain..." [not sure how to interpret this part]

Suddenly, Lala delivers a blow with her knee

Startled, Imadori relates his objective.

He raises his guard, assuming she'll hit him

But nothing hapens.

Thinking it strange, he raises his eyes, and

Lala says "R- really?" with a heart-pounding expression.

The chapter looks like a really solid development for Apple Juice, though I don't get what's going on with Lala at the end.

Ahah, a filler chapter to give KJ some time to think up more materials for the next protagonist arc. This looks promising. Ichi getting tired of Imadori's childish behaviour and Imadori acting like a kid to retaliate. The end bit sounds ambiguous but it could be Lala giving thought to 'dating' Imadori as a way to 'beat' Ichi for once although I don't relish the thought of her stooping so low (I mean we're talking about Imadori here). Or maybe she's surprised Ichi and Imadori is on shaky terms for the first time? Really looking forward to more side character developments in the next few chapters.

^ Lala dating Imadori doesn't necessarily mean its a way for her to beat Ichijou. Lala seems to pick on Imadori a lot, maybe its just her way of showing affection.

( 'v')/ YAY! Apple juice chapter!!!! I've been waiting for this one. Finally, something to jump start the relationship of this two. oh and I don't think Ichijou is tired of Imadori. She might be happy cause Imadori is jealous of her and Suzuki.

Lala has been quite supportive of a relationship between Ichijou and Imadori, so I don't think she'd date Imadori as revenge against Ichijou. Rather, I think she'll "date" Imadori in the next few chapters to try and help the relationship between them, though I doubt things would really go as planned.

well the worst thing that could come out of this is...
1. Lala really falling for Imadori. (RUN IMADORI RUN)
2. Imadori seriously going after D cup.. er Lala
3. ichijou loses interest of Imadori for being too childish

but I'm betting that this is an Apple juice development chapters. I just wish Imadori doesn't screw it up as usual... wait. it's funnier that way. yeah go Imadori roll!!!!

This chapter makes it painfully clear that Imadori likes Ichijou, so I don't think any of those can happen.

I'm just mentionig the worst case scenario.

Well i missed ichijoximadori chapters they're always funny. Im amazed with lala's appearence(the next chapters will be pretty fun).

Let me paint a picture of the possible scenario here from peoples comments so far:
"Ichijou gets a crush on Suzuki, uses it to make Imadori jealous hoping to get his attention. Imadori getting jealous of Ichi as planned and finds out Suzuki's infidelity. Tries to get Ichi jealous rather than trying to warn her otherwise, but couldn't find a date to initiate plan. Accidentally confesses plan to Lala."

Well, Ichi never really struck me as the manipulative type, I think there really is something genuine in the Suzuki crush that would overthrow the attention to Imadori. Despite the above comments that Ichi might be using Suzuki to grab Imadori's attention I don't think that this behaviour is reasonable within her personality. If she were happy at Imadori's jealousy I would have expected her to say something than keep quiet. Plus I don't register Ichi as the two timing type (liking suzuki and also being glad of Imadori's attention all at once).
Personally I do consider the situation a real threat to Apple juice unless Imadori somehow sucks up his pride to resist the jealousy game and does something to reveal Suzuki's infidelity (or like typical SR manner divine intervention will let the cat out of the bag so Imadori doesn't have to change from his selfish self yet again).

Imadori on the otherhand acts in typical childish fashion due to an enormous pride (somehow reminiscent of another blond character in SR) to push Ichi away hoping she would 'bounce back'.
Lala would probably end up saving the day if nothing else but I'll wait as see when the chapter gets scanned.

so I guess the circumstances will help each character mature a lil...
but man... I dont want Imadori to grow up!!! I want him to be the D MASTER!!!
just cuz I also love D cups
