Wow, Karasuma's apartment looked EXACTLY as I thought it would.
Wow, a pure True Oudou chapter. At the very least, this chapter helps Flag by making it seem impossible for Tenma and Karasuma not to end up together.

Townsocks translation out. This chapter was better than I anticipated it to be based on the RAW. Two parts stood out to me, in particular, as they may set up future plot developments.
1. Tenma mentions that Eri is going to Kyoto, again. A few times in this section I have mentioned that I believe Karasuma had not been appearing to make Tenma appear like a more credible rival to Eri, since it's hard to believe Tenma could fall for Harima whenever Karasuma is around. With Eri regaining her friendship with Tenma in Chapter 212, Flag has basically run out of rivals for Eri to "duel" with. The natural progression for unrequited loves is for a role reversal to happen shortly before the end of the story, and there is a possibility Harima had one after Chapter 217.
When role reversals like this happen, the pursued character has to prove he/she loves the person who had the unrequited love by going through some type of trial. Now, Eri told Tenma she was going to Kyoto to look at the Cherry Blossoms, but Eri wasn't necessarily telling Tenma the truth. Last time Eri was in Kyoto, we discovered Max and company and Kobayashi developed the Eri fiancé subplot. People have been wondering when this subplot will ever be brought up again, and this is probably the best time for Kobayashi to do so.
This is because it would give Harima a wedding to stop if he's just had a role reversal.
2. Karasuma says that he was planning on having someone over at his house later that day. Who is this mysterious person? Karasuma doesn't have any friends, as far as we know, the only person we know he has connections with, other than Tenma, is Harima. Chaos can, and probably will, ensue if Harima bumps into Tenma at Karasuma's house.
This was my first thought, too, but then I found it strange that Karasuma told Tenma that he didn't know if he could make it hospitable for her right after that... that line would make more sense if Karasuma had said that he wasn't planning on having someone come over that day. Perhaps it was a typo?Quote:

I can only think of two possibilities for whom Karasuma is expecting. One is someone related to manga (Harima or perhaps Karasuma's editor) or someone related to him moving to America.
