Thread: Side characters stories

Since School Rumble has a lot of side characters and (at least to me) the majority of them seems interesting, the question rises: do you want to see more chapters or fragments of chapters dedicated to them or not? Explain your possition please.

I would like to see more stories dedicated to side characters. For example, continuation of Mikoto's love story, which I'm waiting for 3 months already. Also more Akira, more Hanai, more Imadory and Ichijou, more Nishimoto and more Pyotr. All of them are too great to just leave them aside, forget about them, focusing only on main story. Indeed, Eri's developmant and Harima's actions are interesting and important, but hell, they are not the only ones in this manga! I want more side stories.

Needless to say, I want Mikoto stories - but actually what I want the most is too see more SR. Some series should be short, some should have already ended and they didn't - but SR is this kind of series which could be a little longer (hopefully, 100 more chapters before end...hopefully).

I just remembered one more character I want to here about: Itoko - her past, which she doesn't like to talk about, seems to be pretty interesting too.

Yeah, just more SR. Looking at how a lot can be said I hope it will last long.Not too long though.

Nope. I read the b chapters to learn more about the side characters, and I don't mind things staying that way.

I'm actually surprised people don't want to see them. I know that every one has their own opinion - but the side stories are making SR more complex and richer. And funnier
I used to read lots of harem like romantic comedies, to the moment I just grew sick of them. Every time it was about one male hero, he was in every chapter and he was completely useless guy (he was supposed to be - lucky and useless - so all people who doesn't have girlfriend and feel they are trash would feel better). SR avoids this, presenting other characters - they love stories and their funny situation. It's not like Fruit Basket where we have a 20 chapter side story about Haru and the horse girl...reminded all the time. Once, yes - all the time...no. Especially because they were boring pair.

Okay, Haru and Rin was a little overused, but I enjoy those side stories - and they're an essential part of School Rumble. Before Flag developed, that was what School Rumble was ABOUT. It'd be great to see more about the other characters. ^_^

I definitely want to see more of Imadori, Ichijou, Mikoto, Hanai, Yuki, Asou, Akira, Tae, Tani-sensei, and their developing relationships.

Yet, you gotta admit it would be hard to be able to handle all of these relationships at once in a manga lol.

Of course it would be hard. Thats why I'mnot asking to show love stories or life stories of all 1-D girls. I'm not that greedy =p

I thought I was only the one who here so far who doesn't care very much about the secondary characters, although it seems a nameless person also voted no. The majority of the people seem to want the other characters to get more screentime.

Well, harem series suck in general. The occasional unconventional one does appear every now and then that I like, though. I like Ai Kora for parodying the stereotypical harem lead.

School Rumble avoids the harem problems because there isn't a center of everyone's affection in School Rumble, and the plot never becomes who does that center of attention choose to be his/her love interest.

The majority of the people seem to want the other characters to get more screentime.

For the most part i want to see more of Imadori and Ichijou >.>
