Thread: Yakumo's sudden change or WTF is going on?!

I think Yakumo wasn;t really aware of the things she did.
Let's face some facts :
1) Yakumo wants her sister happy
2) Yakumo wants Harima be happy
3) Yakumo hates Eri - although she will never admit that
4) Yakumo loves or at least likes Harima - although she won' admit it either

So let's think like Yakumo
"Nee-san wants to be with Karasuma-kun but she does like Harima-san in some way, so she won't mind spending some time with him"
"Harima-san wants to be with Nee-san"
"Sawachika-senpai......She doesn't understand the situation..."
"I can't interfer - I will just be a nuisance for Harima-san and Nee-san"
So she just arranged the meeting with Tenma and Harima - looks pretty harmless - they will meet up, it's all about if Harima will use the situation or not - for Tenma it was fun to help Harima so there wasn't really problem.
And that's it - although she doesn't like Eri, she never thought about making her miserable and never thought of her interference. She might just feel a little responsible for what just happened, but I don't know if she should - It would happen later or sooner.

As for the chocolate issue... we know that Hanai's feeling aren't love but obsession - he doesn't know anything about Yakumo. That's why he ate the chocolate from the girl she makes fun of him and hadn't ate the chocolate he presumably "love". Hanai is just an Otacu going around the seiyuu idol - a really immature feeling.

Sara isn't at fault, as I say, it would happen sooner or later

Iori doesn’t thwack the chocolate into Hanai’s mouth; Iori thwacks it into Hanai's room. I explain earlier in this post the significance of Hanai not eating the chocolate pertaining to Japanese culture.

Ah! i was totally mixed up, what i was thinking about happened in ch167 and it was Akira who threw the chocolate into Hanai's mouth right after he had recuperated. This happened before the Iori incident, my bad.

168 still had a funny Hanai related incident at the end though, LOL

well im not sure about that, for me it seems more that yakumo is disgusted at the way eri treats tenma sometimes

Agreed, i have the impression like that after seeing incident in Chap.209, where Yakumo stares away after her sister say something about Eri ( that Eri is a nice person ). is it only me, or i could see some anger in her eyes...... or some disagreement about Tenma's opinion toward Eri.
But well, maybe only my impressions after all.

It looks like a neutral expression to me. I don't think you can really conclude anything from it.

I know2. it just my impression. I have been quite wrong in the past. just that looks kind intriquing for me . I find it quite interesting though, cause for me that is not a worried face, is it?

Yeah, maybe you're right. maybe Yakumo think this way.

Yes, something like that. But after all, we do not know what Yakumo think up until this point. All we can do is only guessing. Which leads me to a question, does KJ use facial reaction, some incidental events (like Iori's) to give the reader's what will happen next. Or KJ just want us to think like that. On top of it, IMHO Yakumo is the hardest character in SR that we can guess what is she thinks (besides Akira)

Edit : i forgot to mention that Karasuma also is hard to guess

@ Kolox: Well, I guess you are right, Yakumo was not aware of consequenses of this "date" she arranged, but hti sdoesn't make Tenma less sad anyways.

About Yakumo's expression: I agree with Ultraness here, this picture is really hard to interpret. I can't see any anger, wrath or anything like this here.

@ ratzuei: Logic is the following:
1) Yakumo loves Tenma like hell
=> Yakumo won't forgive those who hurt Tenma
2) Eri hurts Tenma
=> Yakumo won't forgive Eri. And won't be just disgusted. She dislikes Eri (not hate), thats for sure.

Maybe because Karasuma gonna leave soon (to America) so Yakumo try to get Harima + Tenma closer, so when he (karasuma) leaves, she won't feel lonely --> for both happy.
Wonder what KJ has in his mind.
