Starts off with Yakumo oversleeping and hurrying to prepare breakfast. She notices Tenma is acting a little strange and asks if there's something wrong. At school Tenma tries to give back a CD she borrowed from sawachika who tells her she bought it again so she can keep it. Later it starts to rain and sawachika didn't bring her umbrella so Tenma asks if she wants to share hers, but sawachika asks Sagano instead. Mikoto asks Tenma if there's something going on between the two of them.
Tenma then tells Mikoto that she made her angry somehow and doesn't know why. Mikoto then tells her to think maybe she did something without noticing. Tenma mentions stuff like eating a roll cake that belong to sawachika and peeking at confession email or something from a guy named suzuki. Mikoto jokes that she's horrible and Tenma says she's done stuff like this countless times and she never got mad. Scene change to Mercado at night, sawachika is outside looking in on Harima who is working on something. She remembers Tenma's face and gets angry saying she's not going to lose. She goes to see what he's doing and he asks her what the hell does she want. She mentions the promise he made which Harima has no clue. She thinks to herself that she has to be more forceful, she mentions that he promised to go with her to her friend's store opening.
Back at Tenma's house, Yakumo reminds Tenma that it's almost time for that samurai show she likes but she says doesn't feel like watching it and will go to bed. She tells Yakumo to record it for her. Yakumo asks her again if there's something wrong and Tenma tells her that she had a fight with sawachika. She text messages sawachika saying she'll apologize tomorrow and that she's really sorry. Back at Mercado, sawachika gets the message and types "do whatever you want". And chapter ends with Harima saying he'll go.
