yes well if I was the editor of the manga I would have alternate endings sold separately, and rare ones like for every 100 units sold.
For example a really really rare ending with complete in depth examination of each character like the trading cards but with more details, like a biography lol...

Multiple endings is a very terrible idea; School Rumble is not a visual novel.

I dont know what you mean by visual novel but Im sure it would satisfy all fans wether they belong to flag, Odou, True Odou, Onigiri... well the main factions. The thing with school rumble is that its got so many characters, and thorughout the manga they've been introduced and were given a little bit of plots within the whole story, for example whats going happen to the teacher that fell for the nurse, etc or so many other characters how are they gonna end up together.
This might be acomplished by just simply mentioning that they just got together out of nowhere right after the main characters got together... but going from a full introduction of side characters to just a simple conclusion on their pairings I think is not fair... Im sure some people would like to know how they ended up together or also what about the what ifs....
Im sure some people wont like the ending if it dosnt meet their OWN expectations...
I said alernate not multiple endings that means YOU have the alternative to choose what ending you like.

Of course such little stories as Tae's one should get its' own ending that would make sence - but for that you do not need multiple/alternate endings. They can be simply added in B chapters while main story goes on.

Happens all the time with romanca manga. And won't maka SR any less great.

What do you mean by alternate ending then and how they are different from multiple endings?

Visual novels are games like Fate/ Stay Night where you can direct flow of the story by making different decisions at various points in the game, and these choices you pick can have a profound impact on the story (for example, which girl the protagonist ends up with, if any). This works in visual novels because theyíre stories are not linear and require the reader to direct it towards a conclusion. The same cannot be said of standard, linear stories, such as School Rumble, because itís the author that makes all the calls. As a result, the audience only gets to witness one path out of many. Accordingly, the story leads to just one conclusion.

Think about it: is it really satisfying if the story suddenly has an Onigiri ending if thereís no build-up for it? Is it satisfying for a Flag ending when you realize that all the anxiety you felt about whether the pair would end up together was meaningless since there was no real danger of the two not pairing off? Giving readers options for different endings only ends up demeaning all the choices the characters made throughout the story, and I canít say enough about how bad an idea I think it is. Really, Iíd rather just have an Oudou resolution (which I donít want) than the option to choose a Flag conclusion.

As Reinard said, multiple endings aren't needed to elaborate upon the resolutions for secondary characters.

Big deal. There's always some people who aren't satisfied with endings. It's simply cowardly for authors to be too afraid to make some people unhappy, not to mention many people tend to be unhappy with crowd-pleasing open endings.
