It this statment would come a chapter ago i would agree complitely. BUt now things are different: i'm sure now she is fighting for herself. Firtsly, look ate her expression when she fed Harima. It was as happy as when Yakumo sees Tenma having fun. That means that Harima makes her feel in the same way as Tenma, which automatically means that Yakumo has not only friendly feelings for him. Secondly, look at reason that made her angry: Eri wasn't insulting Tenma. She didn't talk about her at all. The topic of conversation was Harima's love, so Tenma's interests here are not touched, since Tenma (and Yakumo know it) have no feelings for Harima. Here Yakumo defended only her own interests. And won battle. For now.

It is about Yakumo's character. I can't imagine her saying that she is going out with Harima when shi is not.
Her answer doesn't mean that she (back then and now) has no feelings for Harima. She just choose the way to avoid conflict, thats all. But, as i said, back now she is different. And now she didn't choose peaceful way of solving situation, she choose war. Declaring it with her calm and knocking out phrase "You know nothing about Harima's likes. Double KO.

It is true. But in this situation i can't imagine another way of reading side notes. They are simple meaningless if read them trying to find another meaning.

Thats for sure. Eri seems to have a habit to overdo and overjudge things when it comes to love. So she sure will think about it this way.

I never thought of this, great point :D. Eri suck in cooking badly, especcially in comparison with Yakumo. So if she decides to compite Imouto-san in this field she will fail for sure. But, remembering that she is hot-tempered and hates to lose, she'll probably trie to do it. And will lose. For sure. I wonder what Harima will do if Eri will give him her meal: will he trie to comfort her (and creat a huge misunderstanding) or he'l' cry "What the hel is this shit?!" and will make Ojou even more angry and determined.

You are way too cruel! Poor pig! :D Though, if action takes place in Tsukamoto's house than Iori will take part of victim. And she is too clever to agree to eat this riceballs that easily. I can imagine Harima running after her and trying too feed her with Eri's onigiri.

How can Eri respond here? If cooking is not an option (though she still may try, i. as Flagger, hope she won't), then what? Exept food (here she sucks), animals (she didn't show any love for them before) and manga (which she doesn't know about) what can amaze Harima?

As an Onigiri guy myself I of course hope she can't respond to it.But there is
one thing you seem to have forgotten and that is the photoalbum.The whole
D-squad or whatever it was:) It might be her chance to strike back.

Well, yeah, the effect which film might produce is unpredictable, it can both give either advantage or disadvantage to both factions. But i meant another thing, since it seems that some time will pass untill photoalbum will be released. I meant how will she respond now, coz it's obvious that she will try to stricke back somehow to decrese the effect of Yakumo's shrimp. I just can't see any possible options for her.

I have read chapter 205 many times since my first posting (I mentioned I was of the Onigiri faction, right?), and I find that I still feel the same as I did when I initially posted.

The reason for my first post was an probably a visceral reaction to the food type in question: shrimp. This could be a result of the fast scanlation work of Townsocks (God bless his heart), but since it's going to be a while before anyone else catches up to him (Damn you, Del Rey), I have to say that in the world of seafood, Yakumo isn't a shrimp. She's more like Otoro sushi. Tenma on the other hand ...

In regards to the sidebars, they tend to make more sense when you combine them with sidebars from previous pages. Take for instance, from the same chapter, "Harima Kenji, the end of the line" and "Tsukamoto Yakumo, has the other end of the line" (YAY ONIGIRI). Using the last two pages, it combines into "Sawachika Eri, an explanation that satisfies her" "an attack, a rivalry revived ...?". Using this combination, it becomes less of a prediction from an omnipotent force and more an observation of Eri's feelings.

In regards to her blushing, it could be perceived as a romantic emotion, and it could also be seen as the result of their senpai-kouhai relationship. The Japanese are extremely loyal when it comes to that kind of relationship, and the feeling of gratitude towards your superior can be as powerful as that towards your family.

Now many are touting that the phrase is actually innuendo alluding to her intimate knowledge of Harima. It is important to take into consideration what they are talking about, which is what Harima likes. Keep in mind that Japanese is a very context based language. Both women are aware that Harima doesn't enjoy the taste of crustaceans, but Yakumo is not aware how sure Eri is in her knowledge. It is possible that Yakumo is continuing to cover for Harima's secret of hating shrimp, having been confused with Eri's statement thinking she was going to mention a food he liked.

If it is innuendo, however, it would be a more meaningful phrase in my opinion if it meant that he was in love with Tenma. It would certainly give her words leading up to that statement more meaning. Those words, for the lazy like myself, are "You're wrong. You still ... you still haven't noticed?" Also "Harima likes Tenma" is more parallel to the phrase that launched a thousand Onigiri ships than "I can make him happier than you can". I use the latter phrase rather than "I know him better than you do" since they both know that he hates shrimp.

I liked the analysis of the eyes, but I've noticed since the beginning that Yakumo is the one Kobayashi is most likely to draw with uneven eyes. It's what turned me off to Yakumo in the beginning. I blame the angular shape that she alone seems to possess. Look up the first page of the first b chapter, or page 140 if you bought the manga like me. You'll see the eyes drawn in a similar manner, and the emotion of that first page is not one of condescension.

P.S. Oh, and the way to amaze Harima is to kick his ass and look cute afterwards. That's how Tenma did it. Eri seems to have the problem of looking cute afterwards.

Sidelines are a tricky thing at best.Did you consider that even if it is just her
reaction,it could still mean that their rivalry is revived.Could be one sided but
still existant.I still belive however that she was implying more to the direction
of two sided rivalry:) (and hoping of course)

It's not exactly the phrase that gives the impression of her intimate
knowledge about Harima,but her actions alltogether.The fact that she knew
that he doesn't like shrimps and had prepared a "plan B" beforehand.

And that is true and we have been discussing wether she was meaning that
or the more agressive and emotional "You don't know him the way I do" or
"You're not the only girl in his mind" I do belive that Yakumo knows about
Harimas feelings towards Tenma,but lately we have seen her developing
feelings of her own and this might just be her first serious move on him.

All in all,we shall know the truth in few weeks:)
