Japanese - raсists?

I just finished reading "english ark". And remembered all anime and manga I've read till now.... Personally I haven't been in Japan even once, but what I heard from friends and now - after reading all of this, I came to conclusion that they are one of the most racistic nation(I didn't count a little countries - only the most powerful ones: like France, England, USA, Russia, Chine, Germany and so on...)

They are saying things like: japanese women and japanese spirit are the most popular things for us(foreigners), but I don't give a sh... about it because there are very few really pretty girls(in my taste), and if it's speret they are looking for, we've got so many saint people which struggle through hardships enduring. or for example repeating things like - half(in England, France, Usa, and in my native country(Russia) there isn't such a word. Cause there are so many people with different nationality that it's just too stupid to make a fuss about it...
arrrr.... its just getting on my nerves.... sorry if I'd mistakes...

but On the serious note, I've also heard repeatidly banter about japan being
very racist from friends and college roomates, it depends on what you define racist as, to one guy it'll be like heaven if he goes, to the next it'll be a bad experiance. Its up for you to decide, until then...

I doubt that we can characterise the whole nation using only works of art wich is influenced by it's creators. Brobably what people characters are saying and thinking and doing to is just an authors point of view nothing else. Though if we can see it in different works of art we can make a cunclusion about our subject but in our case we can't do it: for example in SR there are a lot of forign students and one halfy - main female protagonist and i can't find even a single rasist-spirited word about them. Maybe you can? And russians can be huge rasists. I can judge coz i'm from Russia two. That depends on person though.

russians big racists? its pretty funny, because the thing about Skinhead just a play on people's weaknesses. and if you didn't forget russia coquering many countries and weren't destroing their ethnitic quality, even religious views were allowed to be different.
But my point is that they just think as though we are looking down on them, based solely on their imagination, or maybe some expirience through tourists!

And what part of SR is rasist? Can't find any.

Im from Moscow... sorry weren't in SP even once, but man cruelity is not something some nation had escaped from, I'm saying that in 21 century people tend less and less to nationality(like 60 years ago black hunt in USA)!
besides, it's a comics so it would be provided to youngters in Japan, what would their thinking be after reading it???

Im reapiting myself - SR not the only one manga I've met this topic. Through their aggresive attitude towards foreigners I made desicion that they are the same as the foreign heroes they use

About SR - can you tell me in what chapters have you seen rasism? I really can't find any. There are a lot of forign students and they doesn't seem to suffur over agression of japanese.

it's not rocket science. it's pretty easy to tell that japanese are mostly racist (if you don't believe go over there and find out yourself). While it is a lovely country manga/anime don't accurately portray Japan, usually people only wanna go Japan because they think it'll be like their favourite manga or anime. What a shocker.

In anycase, all countries have their degrees of racism, America is just a lot more silent about it.

It may be so. I haven't been there so i can't judge. And i don't think that it is a country as nice as it is shown in manga/anime. I'm not a kid after all.
