Yeah, their personalities are similar...Hanai is less stupid though

Hanai can be lot stupider than Gai-sensei after he sees Yakumo~kun

And their personalities are, from my point of view, only simmiliar when it comes to achieve some goals (never stop, fight harder, self-training and discipline)

I wonder how would Hanai behave if his student would be in life-or-death situation....Gai was amasing that time

well if the student is yakumo , Hanai sure will be great too. but in the anime he do must heroic action for mikoto, like in the survival game
