Thread: Kenji and Yakumo.. (major spoilers)

I've read all the chapters available here in StopTazmo, but I still don't have a solid chapter lead where Yakumo starts to like/love Kenji.. I mean, of course there are very hinty chapters such as the cultural festival arc and chapter 143 ("I love you", lol, best chapter!!!). I haven't read the latter b chapters yet, though.. so could anyone give me the chapter number? thanks~ (yeah, I'm a Kenji x Yakumo shipper xD)

Yakumo starts to like harima? Poor Haina!

There isn't a solid chapter lead because it's all wishful thinking by the fans. They end up in what looks to be romantic situations, but if the feelings aren't there, then it's just normal (or slightly embarrassing). It plays on another cliche - if a guy and a girl get into these sort of situations in a high school romantic manga, one would normally expect them to fall in love or something. But although Kenji and Yakumo get into these sort of things, you don't really see their feelings change much. So you could read it as a satire on the high school romance manga genre.

On the other hand, you could argue that the first real indication came with the second coming of the ghost girl. Remember, the first time, she asked Yakumo whether she liked or hated men. Yakumo could not really answer then. The second time she appeared, Yakumo was at the temple, holding Harima's fishbone pen. Perhaps it was then, that Yakumo felt that she had an answer. Unfortunately, I can't place the chapter where it occurs.

There is a chapter where Yakumo is all alone in her house. It's natural in this situation to think about people that are important to her and she does. But only one she is thinking about is Tenma. If she was in love whith Harima she would think about him too, right? But there is also a chapter whith chocolates, where she tries to give it to Harima. But we don't know if it is becouse of love or just frendship. As i can remember there is no clue in that chapter.

When Yakumo asked Kenji "This... Does love really start like this?" in chapter 143, I took that as a serious rhetorical statement by Yakumo, which was brushed off by Kenji's denseness.. >_> But then again, Yakumo's heart is a tough nut to crack even though she blushes alot.. The ghost part 2 is b29 ^_^ here we go: I wonder if she really meant it.. I hope she did. ^_^

Harima and Yakumo, wishfull thinking? Maybe. But in ch146 when Kenji is staying at the Tsukomoto household, Yakumo walks into Kenji's room and mistakes him for her (deceased?) father. I think there are a lot of deep rooted feelings showing themselves right there.

In 174 Yakumo has a flashback from when she was about 6 years old or so. I think there is an interesting link between Harima's occupation, and Yakumo's "book that dad gave me."

BTW, can anyone read the author or the title of that book?

There is a little indication in chapter 146, where Yakumo realizes it is almost supper time, but Kenji is still drawin her. She says "But now I've finally... I finally feel I've become his strength... Just a little bit more..." To me that kind of hints at her feeling for him.

I don't have the chapters that aren't in StopTazmo yet.. But when I get them (or see a pic), I'll be able to translate. And if it isn't illegal here (nothing in the rules about this), may I ask where you get your copies of the translations..?

But what is is about Harima that attracts girls? I'm pretty sure Yakumo has a crush on him and it's pretty obvious that Eri feels something for him as well.

heheh screw that.... now the main thing is.... the bastard Kj's so vague on the plot... we will never know where the story is going... ( he must love this job of torturing SR fans alot) heck my theory is he trawls the forums on the net to look at the reactions.. ( not only on 2chan, but the english ones as well...)
