am quite curious what the mangaka will cook up.... it was already mind blowingly illogical towards the end of POT1....

i was hoping it would be a new 'prince'...

Funny little first chapter. Pretty much a repeat of the senpai's trick except the kohai are like... 50x better than they can ever be.

This chapter was rather uneventful. It's too soon to tell whether this 'new series' is just a joke continuation like SRZ or whether this will become serious later.

I learned from another forum before that there was a plan to come up with a manga focusing on that Shitenhouji kid. I don't know if this is the one. Gotta check it out. Thanks for the info.

I'm so glad there's going to be MORE PoT. PoT gave me so much entertainment value in it's earlier chapters that even if PoT 2 ends up sucking even worse than the Nationals (with all that aura lameness) i'd still love it all the same. Guess you could call me a blinded fan. :P But yeah, i'm sure everyone's looking forward to what's gonna be happening...I always thought that Konami ended it because he's exhausted all his ideas on new types and variations of shots. I guess we're going even more fictional from here onwards >_>

Don't know what to make of it. I think i'm disappointed because I see it more as a mangaka who refused to be creative enough to create a new manga but instead opted out to continue his successful previously finished manga. At least he could have made them 2 or 3 years older to make it look more new.

Maybe he should focus more on comedy, or fillers as they are called by some PoT fans.
Mangaka has a great sense of humor, a 1 year PoT 2 with comedy to then contine with real story in PoT 3 would be cool

lol I pretend they're 2 or 3 years older just so I don't explode at the fat that Ryoma's actually 12.

The mangaka produces the best comedy when he tries to make the story serious and overdoes it though. I mean, name a funnier scene in the anime/manga than when Tezuka is dodging meteors to return the tennis ball or where he causes the extinction of the dinosaurs?
