Well they make it look like they don't react until the last second in which they quickly run sideways to return the ball.

    I'm here for the pot.

Yeah. And they're supposed to be good at predicting where the ball is going to land, too. Lol. And they wonder why their stamina goes down.

No not really. Recently I managed to pull off the Tsubame Gaeshi with graceful ease.

    I'm here for the pot.

Well, I've played tennis and there has been times where I had to run to return a serve. I mean when you are playing against someone, you don't know where will he serve. And it also depends where are you standing, probably the first ball he served was near the center so you anticipate this on the next serve, but what if he did the opposite. You would have to run to return the ball, Like this:

I know the picture sucks, so please no criticism. It is just a sketch. Not that I'm defending PoT, but I have found worse scenarios for example( I've told this many times) when the Tezuka-Inui faced the other two in the Nationals, I mean ok they want to play singles and all. But rules are rules. Even if they want that, Inui has to receive serves and likewise for the other team. However it seems that this didn't stop Konomi from making Tezuka receive all the serves. Well, that is PoT.

Um... Well. I don't mean to criticize your picture or anything, but it's not going to involve THAT much running because you don't usually stand that far back on serve recieve, do you? Even so, you wouldn't have time to really run. Unless the serve is reallly slow or something... >.<

Considerably, I watched some tennis matches and they aren't really that exciting - people serving, sometimes moving a bit, then one person misses the shot because he got tired and the other scores - if that was the same in PoT, it would be really boring manga - so after first few volumes, I totally stopped care if it's realstic or not, becuase being realistic wasn't really authors intention (come on - the self-realization state or whatever it's called ? - it's a freaking Super Saya-jin, has nothing to do with real tennis).

Yeah. We've kinda all established that most people don't care all that much that PoT is unrealistic. I mean, Junior High kids are flying through the air and breaking people's ribs with tennis balls. I like real tennis, though. ^.^ I guess it's nice to see tennis that follows the laws of physics, too.

The self-actualization stuff was also obviously stolen straight out of eyeshield, along with the themed tennis moves like the themed football moves.

Really? Eyeshield has the SoSA, too? So they have superhuman stuff in that series, too? I've seen Whistle and that didn't have superhuman stuff. Lol.
