Hiyoshi being steamrolled by Echizen in a couple of chapters to end the first Hyotei encounter is one of the worst things ever on the series. I struggle to count that.
Well, Seigaku had to win somehow.

Uh.... In the anime, I think Momo either came close, or returned, the Twist Serve after a couple of tries. I'm pretty sure that the regulars eventually returned it, too.

Yeah..... He was totally overrated. I guess he somewhat redeemed himself in the second Hyotei vs Seigaku match. That one was better than his getting totally owned by a freshman.

Not to mention that the anime made Koshimae win 6-2 rather than 6-4.
There was also a possible inconsistency where Hiyoshi couldn't return Inui's waterfall. If he could beat Ootori he must be able to return fast serves. I know Inui's waterfall is faster than the than Scud serve but...
お前にとっての下克上はここには無いんだよ。
Well, I guess the only thing to conclude upon that is Waterfall was just too fast, lol. But yeah, it's an inconsistency.

When did Hiyoshi beat Otori? I can't recall that.
^It was before the Seigaku/Hyotei game before Kanto. They said that when the teams had to pull out their reserve players (who both teams considered trump players) because of Taka/Kabaji's no-game and the 2-2 game ratio up till then.
