Well I came into the topic thinking it was about how PoT could be extended beyond the Nationals, where a logical ending point would be.

Pretty much everything's been said about the topic creator's topic anyway.

YES. And Ryoma should lose just to make fun of the intensity of the entire series.

^I think it would be right for ryoma to lose because...his dad's supposed to be the greatest tennis player ever and ryoma, a junior high kid, beats him?? Kinda....weird...

Ryoma and Nanjirou play against each other and both activate PoP. The match ends in a draw because the ball splits and lands in both sides of the court.

Like I said, there would be a time skip, which implies that Ryoma would've aged. How much older he should get is debatable, but Nanjiroh was very young when he took on the world, so I'd be satisfied with even a late high school aged Echizen.

Ryoma and Nanjirou play against each other and both activate PoP. The match ends in a draw because the ball splits and lands in both sides of the court.
More like Ryoma finally activates PoP to use against his dad, only to get owned into oblivion when his dad tells him that the PoP is actually just a stepping stone to the 12 hidden gates of tennis, which he needs to unlock to beat the world's best. Now, Echizen needs to travel around the world to beat the guardians of these doors to reach the final 13th gate, which no one has ever reached.

Best ending ever! Also, gives way to a sequel series Prince of Tennis Z: The Buddha's Awakening.
