^But Inui isn't capable enough to perform such a trick, even if he understands it conceptually perfectly.
I wish I could do a twist serve...it would be awesome.
-
Yeah. My friend can do a premature version every now and then. It doesn't bounce normally. It bounces more straight up than a normal serve. Obviously it's nothing like Ryoma's.

This thread is (or was, b/c kind of dated) a great idea.
In terms of tennis style I would say Kaidoh when he played w/o using his snake. A persistent baseliner who doesn't give up w/ Kawamura's backhand and both of their pride , determination and passion. @ midcourt - net I play like Niou (or Fabrice Santaro if anyone knows who that is), not over powering but getting a few trick shots and tricking the opponent- doesn't go well often for me.
Some other similarities:
Kaidoh: I'm always training everyday, determined, looking at my strokes again and again, always wanting more and more spin, and have a soft spot for fuzzy animals.
Horio: I'm usually not very talkative, but sometimes I go on and on when coaching someone giving people tips and then I get on the court and can't play good. 30% chance of being good on court. I think its more of a confidence issue.
Sakuno: On the shy side, says sorry alot on bad days.
Inui: I over analyze my strokes alot, think too much.
Kabaji: his stiffness, people say I am usually stiff, I've been working on it, just give off a few pssh, pssh... and your fine
Jiroh: people also say I look sleepy, kind of ties in w/ stiffness
Those who I admire:
Shiraishi for his strategy
Kikumaru's net play.
Kawamura for his stubborness, strength, unselfish sacrifices, and deep pride.
The whole Fudomine + Higa Chuu team for the same reasons as Kawamura.
Tezuka for his leadership, I'm a follower.
Sanada, the Emperor, for his strong aura which all have to respect.
Kintarou for his all out love for tennis, I need to relax about technique and just have fun more often.
Echizen (my favorite character, sorry you guys) because of his cockiness and confidence.

So, the post is kinda outdated, I say let's bring it back :{
We could use this post to give tips for aspects of the game people wish to improve, so I'll be first.
Ugh, I learned how to do a super heavy spin forehand :3, that bounces into the opponent's head, sort of like a Ryoma twist serve, but for a forehand. I need to work on my volleys. Anyone know any drills for increasing volley reaction time?

Keigo Atobe amazes me the most!!! So, now i'm practising to be and playing like him!! Just imagine if you can use "World of Ice"!! =P

Kaidō Kaoru, definatly, stamina, power, spin...
-
I guess my play style is something like kaidoh. Although i don't use crazy boomerang shots, i do play heavy spin at the baseline. On my serve i generally use a hard kicking serve that goes the wrong way (twist i guess). Other than that i alternate between serving and volleying and out-enduring my opponents.
