If sanada ever becomes desperate to win (who knows, it's konomi we're talking about) he might use SoSA.

    Things I'm almost positive of:
-Fuji winning (I really doubt he'd lose two matches in a row)
-Golden Pair winning (They had better win at, they've easily been the team that's been most screwed out of wins they should've had)
    -Echizen winning (Obvious story reasons)

Given that, Tezuka pretty much has to lose. Still, if he does there'll probably be something that leaves the result in some doubt, or they'll figure out some way to tie it. Another way out of that would be to have Fuji play Doubles 2, but I'd bet on an Inui/Kaidoh pairing. It'd be kinda cool to see Kaidoh go up against Kirihara though, even if he's probably pretty far out of his league.

I'd actually love to see Echizen lose, though a victory's pretty much a done deal if he's taking the Singles 1 slot. It'd be pretty cool and a nice change if he lost to Yukimura but was able to develop the Pinnacle of Perfection because of that.

    1) I was thinking about Kaidou, too. He could probably pull it off... before Akaya starts going crazy super Devil mode and jams a ball in Mr. Mamushi's ass.

The genius guy couldn't return Kaidou's army of tornado snakes, AND this match seems plausible because Momo can't play him, Fuji's already played him, Inui will probably double against Renji x Yagyuu? with Kawamura, and the Golden Pair's already taken.

People who [can't] play: Tezuka, Fuji, Ryoma, Kaidou, Momo, Kawamura, Oishi, Inui, Taka, Eiji.

    2) I just hope Ryoma gets killed 4-6 (which is a big thing PoT-wise).

    ~~

On topic, I'd say that Tezuka'd go down in this match... in the sense of Fuji x Shiraishi. If he wins, then the D2 is a sure loss. If he loses, whoever's D2 can win at the cost of S2, because I doubt that the Golden Pair is going to lose their last match after getting shot in the face a hundred times.

I'm hoping he loses... even though I'm Tezuka > Sanada any day.

I don't think Taka should even be considered for a singles match. He was already sort of a minor character, and his grand finale was definitely the match with Gin since it cemented him as the best pure power player (even though we suddenly find out Kintarou can hit harder and Ryoma can follow his speed >_>).

The reason I lean towards Inui/Kaidoh for Doubles 2 is that this is the National finals, and I think it'd be pretty silly for Seigaku to send out a doubles team that's pretty much never played with each other to take on the defending champs. It'd be strange having Fuji beat Kirihara twice, but they've both developed enough that the match would be pretty much completely different.

Is everyone forgetting that Taka-san can't play? >.<
Konomi is a cruel man if he makes Taka-san play....Wasn't he injured badly?

although it would be right for tezuka to win (duh he's the captain of seigaku and god of tennis), but I see no hope for tezuka in this match.

    Potential D2 teams are:
    1 Fuji / Taka
    2 Fuji / Eiji (?)
    3 Kaidou / Momo
    4 Eiji / Momo
    5 Inui / Kaidou
    6 Inui / Fuji (?)

    #2, 3, 4 are impossible because Eiji's in D1 and Momo's gone. 1 is impossible because Taka's injured... I guess.

Best bet is Inui / Fuji to insure a win... kinda, while Kaidou's a sacrifice.

I thought he'd be injured too badly to play, but I only read the raws for that part so I wasn't sure if that was really the case. Either way, I'm still sure he's had his last hurrah. Unless they just put him in to be a nonexistent player like Inui in the Tezuka/Chitose match.

Anyway, I'm sticking with a Tezuka loss, a Doubles 2 loss for Inui and Kaidoh with Fuji, the Golden Pair, and Echizen taking their respective matches. I see that as the most "safe" prediction, so if there's any kind of curveball thrown it'll probably be off.

I guess that's correct. And Fuji wins on the verge of defeat for added drama.

Boo... I really don't want Tezuka to lose. Although that seems quite probable, I can't bring myself to vote Sanada. *cries in a corner*

Come on Kitsune, Tezuka has a worthy defeat!
