Thread: Lost where to start...

Hi, its been awhile since i finish POT and i'm not quite satisfy with the OVAs that are coming out currently so i have decided to start reading the manga but i don't know which chapter to start off on. So i would like know which chapter follows up the ending of the POT series.

I think around about chapter 235 is where you want to start as around there is when Seigaku wins the Kantou Tournament. However I personally recommended starting at around chapter 150 as that's where the manga and anime start going in different directions. Hope this helps!

Yeah, you should start reading at around ch150 to get the context of the events in the OVAs. Those chapters are the initial chapters before the Rikkai matches if my memory is correct (which very well may be wrong).

Yeah. I think I started around 200 and was slightly confused because the Jr Invitational Tournament was something that the anime made up. Same with the Echizen going to America.... >.< Thank God that wasn't in the manga.

I'd be tempted to say the usual line of "always start from the beginning of the manga"... and then I remembered that Prince of Tennis has over 300 chapters. It's probably worth it, though. ^^;; Think about it... that means more Tezuka. He appears in the beginning quite a bit.

Or you could read the parts with Tezuka, and then skip the parts where he's not around. :3 He leaves in 159. ^.^ He comes back in 248.

Oh, how convenient... then of course one must start at the beginning, for maximum viewing of Tezuka, and then to continue the manga plot. =P

Haha. Yes. I've added the chapter of Tezuka's grand return now. ^.^ I just realized that Tezuka wasn't around for the beach volleyball part in the OVAs. No wonder they had to knock Aoi out early.

You mean to say that he wasn't around in the beach volleyball filler arc in the manga, right?
