Lol. Or their mind is destroyed, if we want to go with the less gruesome approach.

MIND TENNIS! The two players just stand on court, locked in a mental game of tennis, and the loser's head explodes.
But then they've have to learn to use psychic power that would allow spectators to see it. You can't just have people watch two players staring at each other until one of their heads blows up--that's not very marketable (hilarious as the concept sounds).

Lol. Well, maybe in Volume 200 or something, people will realize that tennis is destroying the earth. Then scientists will create these virtual pods that the players have to go into. The pods will be linked and the battle can be projected onto a screen.

Heh. Or it could be that the world of Prince of Tennis is actually...

    A DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS GAME!

It turns out the guy playing Kintarou rolled a +20 while holding a Mythril Racket + 3 and equipping a Hero's Burning Soul and enhanced by a Frogger's Spell of Strength Enhancement.

Kitsune - Ha ha, that sounds like a game-version of the Matrix or something. That's just awesome.

Having them play mentally in virtual pods doesn't seem like much of a stretch anymore, after that last chapter.

Maggeh - A D&D game would actually make MORE sense than assuming they're real people. Go figure.

I swear, if Horio with his two years experience of tennis took on Kintarou's technique, he'd probably have the ball blow through his intestines, splattering the stadium with his blood and guts, losing his bowels in the process, letting out a stream of piss and then crap himself, causing an immense stench. He'd also hurl out the contents of his stomache and then pitifully crawl towards the net before falling down and dying in a pool of his own vomit and bodily waste.

How do we know that everything but the dying part and the excrement part won't happen to Ryoma? He could attain the PoP, which would instantly heal his wound Kyuubi-style, and STILL return the ball for the win. At this point, I can't take anything that happens in the matches seriously anymore (not that I could to begin with...).

But you forget - Kintarou's Innocence will then be activated, granting him immunity!

He already appeared in the story. He just hasn't started transforming yet.
