    Default Newbie Q:Does Prince of Tennis characters grow older?

    Hi!

    I just started watching PoT: i'm pretty hooked...

    just a curious question... its such a long series and seems to still be going strong... is the whole 170+ episodes based on Ryoma being 12??

    Do the characters grow older or have birthdays or graduate from a grade??

    Thanks!

    in manga that didn't happen. . . at least until 300s ^^;

    in anime, i really don't know. if there's no changes in story line, they don't grow up i think ^^;

    Nope. Not that I know of. I'm sure they're older, but not beyond one school year. And they didn't show any of their birthdays, although I'm sure some of them passed.

    They do grow older but just that they are till in the same grade up until now. Ryoma is still in his first year.

    i wonder if the series will be over after nationals. . . or we'll see another year and another tournament year with some new chars?. . . it could be fun seeing a grown up echizen. . . though it'd be sad if some best chars. graduate and leave the team T.T

    Bleh... I think the series has gotten too long to make another year with new characters. Besides, there's so many third years that it'll be boring once they leave. The only team that might be interesting to watch would be Fudomine.

    unless we get to see Ryoma as Buchou and cool new recruits that'll make up for the 3rd years ^_^

    *shudders* I don't want Ryoma to be buchou.... He'd be such a bad role model. I don't want to see next year of Seigaku anyway. Only three regulars are still there.

    I think seeing Seigaku's next year would be pretty interesting. Especially because we'd get to see the players who have been on the sidelines step up.
