Awww. Naruto got pretty good, too. Except the Akatsuki are crazy! They're not humaaaann! Orochimaru was the normal one!!

But I kinda agree with you that they're sort of similar, but not "really alike."
Maybe the series would do a time skip to Echizen's third year when he's a captain and there will be a new first year prodigy.
Ewww...... Ryoma's as buchou?....... Yeah...... I don't think Ryoma's cockiness is going to die off any time soon. He'll definitely have a clash with the new first year prodigy if there's one. Except, the problem with that is that only Echizen fans would want to watch it.... I know I wouldn't....
haha i can't forget yamato buchou clapping his hands an sayin "everyone runs 100laps!" then holding Tezuka and making him run too XD i really felt close to him :3 he was cute yey !
echizen becoming the captain. . . don't know. . . no comment XD
Well, Echizen's cockiness is similar to Atobe's and well Atobe is the captain of Hyoutei. He definitely understands how to motivate people a little bit as evidenced in Fuji's most recent match. I'm just saying that he has the greatest chance of being the captain as a third year because he'll be on the team the longest by the time he's a third year, so he has a lot of experience.
Actually, I thought about what Seigaku would be like next year, and though they would definately be much weaker, they would probably do alright against the opposition. I think the team would look something like this:
1) Ryouma (2nd Year)
2) Momoshiro (3rd Year)
3) Kaidou (3rd Year)
4) Arai (3rd Year)
5) Arai's freckled friend (3rd Year)
6 & 7) Those 2 guys who keep shouted the names of moved during matches (2nd Year)
Ryouma, Momoshiro and Kaidou should be monsters by this time, so in most match ups they should be able to win the 3 singles matches. Arai seems to really want to be a regular, so maybe he'd be shown to have put himself through alot of training to raise his game, same thing with his friend. They could hold a doubles spot (with Arai occasionally playing Singles 3 if Momokai decide to play doubles), with the second going to the (former) 1st year pair, who could be shown to be progressing towards becoming a new (albeit watered down) golden pair. Horio would be the perennial sub ^_^. Maybe he'd feature in one match (let's say the Tokyo Tournament Final) were the matches go to the substitute players, and he gets to show the results of his 3 years of tennis experience. And it would be cool if he narrowly loses, which would give Seigaku a loss, but they would still qualify for the Kantou tournament as the Tokyo second seed. A new 1st year prodigy could be thrown into the mix, or someone could
But seriously, aside from Kirihara, Zaizen and maybe Rokkaku's captain, who would challenge Seigaku's top 3 players in singles? And if Momoshiro and Kaidou matchup for doubles, is there a proven team to challenge them? Remember just about all the excellent doubles pairs consisted of two 3rd years or at least one. Fudoumine's 2nd years, while excellent players, had their best two beaten by Kaidou and Echizen in singles, and two doubles wins wouldn't be enough.
Hiyoshi and Choutarou have a decent chance of doing well next year, too. Most of the Fudomine team is going to be around, too. Kin-chan will be around, too. :3 Super Freshman!~ Or by then Junior. Or were you just talking about Kantou?
Ack.... The thought of Ryoma as buchou makes me shudder..... I don't know... He just doesn't seem like the type. I love Yamato! Not as much as Tezuka-buchou, of course. Lol.
Oh, I forgot about Kintarou! That would probably make Shitenhouji the most serious threat we know of since they'd have 2 really good players.
Yeah, actually I was thinking Momoshiro would make a good captain, but his rivalry with Kaidou would probably make that awkward.
no way. seeing a new lineup would be uninteresting. esp if that annoying freshman got on. 4got his name. (whats with me today?) but that one thats bragging about his tennis experience.
but yea it would be interesting to see a new series like years later.
The way the earlier chapters were, the author seemed like he was hinting that momoshiro would be the next captain. Back in the first Hyoutei game, I believe. Or at least that's how it seemed to me.
