Thread: Someting kills me about GP.[might be spoiler]

As far as i remember, Golden Pair loses most of their matches even if it goes up to tie breaks. And while other doubles pairs mostly win. (inui-kaidoh or momo-eiji or taka-fuji)

so why are they called "GOLDEN PAIR" ?!?!

Yeah, I've always found it hilarious that they lose more than they win (2 wins against 3 losses).

Of course, Oishi's injury is a big reason for most of those losses, but I still find it humorous.

Early on Kikumaru had his stamina problem that was holding them back. Then his movements could be read in another match. He's been the weaklink.

I guess Golden Pair refers to the double team that can really understand each other (partner) perfectly. They can reach synchro, ie they can understand their partner's feelings, movements, strategies, etc without needing much conversation. Just like when they lost to Hyotei, they manage to reach synchro. Even Hyotei's coach, Sakaki, said that the best double is when they can reach synchro.

even thought they're the best doubles pair, it's not fair that they lose mostly.
i know they lost because of injury or stamine problem but not fair! XD

Eiji's gotten over his stamina problem. The only setback now is Oishi's injury (that's the only real reason they lost against Hyoutei).

Also, most of the other team have lots of information about Golden Pair. Surely they would gather around information about GP. They would study GP's weaknesses like hell. I am sure after Oishi's injury completely heals, the GP will shine agian in the court.

As for double 2, Seigaku has lots of choices. All the unexpected changes made the other team feel uneasy. That's why other teams fail to score the point on double 2 against Seigaku.

Pft. I know.... That's why they've been brought up in the "players that are overrated" thread. They're not that great.... They've lost more than they've won. And they rarely win against the teams that really matter. Lol. Hopefully, Komoni-sensei will let them win in the finals.
