I think either Ryoma or Tezuka will play Yukimura. So if Ryoma plays Yukimura, Tezuka will most likely play Kirihara, unless of course there is a rematch between Fuji and Kirihara, but that doesn't seem that interesting for a rematch between either Kirihara and Fuji or Sanada and Echizen.

Yeah and for some reason unknown to me, they sat Fuji out of the Hyotei match............ who leaves the prodigy out of the Nationals lineup???

I agree with anyone who is saying that a rematch between Fuji/Kirihara and Ryoma/Sanada would be boring. That is why I want to see Fuji and Sanada go at it while Tezuka plays Kirihara.

I know some people including myself say that Kirihara is no match for Tezuka but when I think about it he is very good. He also doesn't use the "bloodshot" thingy anymore so his full potential will explode. I think I remember them mentioning that Kirihara's training menu is twice as hard as his senpai's and Im sure after losing to both Ryoma and Fuji he pushed himself beyond his limits. I could see Kirihara having a door opened and some other tricks making his match with Tezuka surprising.

Tezuka has two doors open, even if Kirihara had one door opened it would end up just like Chitose. He has to play the captain of Rikkai and well, perhaps one of the double players will play singles and make Kirihara or the Stratigic guy(forgot his name) play in doubles.

The same person who puts the captain in doubles.....

I agree with Tamiel. I think that Tezuka would wipe the floor with Kirihara. Unless Kirihara managed to achieve the Pinnacle of perfection, I don't think he'd have a chance. Even Chitose could only take one game, and that was before the Tezuka opened the Pinnacle of Wisdom.

Yeah I could see Kirihara being put into Doubles, then none of the Singles Matches would be repeats.

All of this will be insignificant once Rikkai jobs to Nagoya >_>

Hm.... Now that I think about it, I don't think Konomi-sensei likes rematches. Even when Seigaku played Hyotei, there were no rematches (despite my longing for a Tezuka vs Atobe rematch).

That would suck if everyone has been talking about Rikkaidai vs Seigaku, but then Rikkaidai loses to Nagoya. I can see some very angry fans if Nagoya beats Rikkaidai.
