I think Fayte's right about the "first cry" being the first use, but I hope that it means there's going to be a "second" and "third" instead of that.

His national matches so far... Fuji came up with new things in each of them (unless he played in Hyoutei... which I don't remember).

Hopefully... if he's playing Sanada, he'll have the basic Gatekeeper, one for Aigaion, Gigas, and Cottus, then the Triple Counters v2.
That's just, considering this is National Sanada he'll be up against, so hel'll be prepared more/ better for the last of the Fuu Rin Ka Zan (also because he may have his own v2's).

I don't think Fuji played against Hyotei. But yeah, he's been improving a lot since the start of Nationals. I'm not sure that he would play Sanada, but that would be somewhat interesting. My only concern is that is Fuji plays Sanada, and Ryoma plays Yukimura, who does Tezuka play? Some people are saying Kirihara has a chance of beating Tezuka, but I highly doubt it.

It's really too bad that the final two counters ended up being...well, boring.

One is just "OMG NO SPIN I CAN'T HIT THE BALL" and the other is "OMG I CAN'T HIT IT OVER THE NET"

Now that I think about it, the Gatekeeper kinda resembles that match Fuji had in the anime against the American guy...Arnold I think, except it was the other way around, with Fuji forcing the ball lower and lower until it hit the net and he had enough spin for the Tsubame Gaeshi.

I liked the first three counters best, too. ^.^ Maybe they'll end up seeming more intersting later. Once he uses them more, people will actually remember them, maybe. I can't even remember the second to last counter. What was the name again? I had completely forgotten about it until I actually thought about it.

To be honest I want Tezuka vs Sanada. That is more interesting.

Fuji - sanada would be great to see. Tezuka already promised yukimura that they could play against each other at the end of episode 178

its unlikely but i'd rather fuji vs sanada , and tezuka v.s yukimura .

i dont think there are gonna be anymore counters , but i do think that fuji will continue to grow and surprise us with something incredible .

Where would Ryoma be? In doubles with Momo or in an alternate match against someone like Renji or Jackal?

    What I want:
    ~ Tezuka v Yukimura
    ~ Fuji v Sanada

Why this? Yukimura's one of the 3 people with full control over their Muga, so a Muga war would be nice... and it'd be a war because Tezuka's got 2 doors open.

Fuji and Sanada: Final counter + v2 = 4 counters vs. Fuu Rin Ka Zan. The way things went, we can't compare between Tachibana's and Shiraishi's smashes because one made his gut die and the other threw his racquet away. Sanada's smash probably got better, so it's "Ka" vs. Kirin Otoshi.

For the most part, the counters match each other... I guess... considering that it's only 2 counters that Sanada's revealed... so 50%.

Ah well... if Fuji makes 2 more counters for two more Gatekeepers, that's awesome. If he loses, I'll be pissed, but it'll be a nice twist.
