Aww comon it wasn't rape xD. It wasn't really a serious match either =).
Yeah, I took it one step too far there, but it was a serious bout for the brief amount of time it occurred as at the time I never thought Tachibana was that strong. The time Akaya mopped the floor with him really made me look down on Tachibana.
I know, but note I saw the anime first (which turned out to be pretty gay) and it made no reference to Tachibana holding back (figures). As for the seriousness of the match it did matter to Fuji as he wanted to experience first hand the power of a man to made it to the semifinals of the nationals so he can see what he could better prepare himself. That's my 2 cents worth on whether or not the seriousness mattered (how did the topic turned to this point? lol)
Uh... I think it was my fault that the topic kinda got off track. ^.^' Heh... Sorry.
It would be interesting to watch Tachibana vs Fuji now. I'm curious whether or not Tachibana would be able to break the Gatekeeper. Speaking of which, did Konomi-sensei ever mention exactly how Shiraishi broke the Gatekeeper. I only remember that his shot got higher and higher until it went over.
Yeah. I hope they do a second OVA. That would really be annoying if they didn't.

no, he never really talked about how Shiraishi broke the gatekeeper. I'd bet that Tachibana is better than Shiraishi in skill, since he's at least equal to or greater than Chitose.
Tachibana is indeed above Chitose, since he would have won if he hadn't gone easy on Chitose the whole match.
But Shiraishi is above Chitose, so who is better between him and Tachibana can't be said at this moment. For what it's worth, I would guess Shiraishi is probably better than Tachibana, although it would be a really great match to see. Especially since we've never seen Tachibana at 100% since he was holding back a little against Chitose.
