    Default n00b questions

Sorry, this is gonna sound really n00bish but I just started watching the prince of tennis anime so please allow some leniency.

Is prince of tennis anime still ongoing or does it end at the nationals?

If the anime has ended is the manga still ongoing?

If both are over is there any chance that either one will start up again is a couple years or was it ended very concretely?

    Thanks

Well... the anime is ongoing in the sense that, after Ryoma left at the end, a series of OVA were made (15 eps I think) for the nationals. It's essentially 1 ep per math, so there may be movies after...

Manga's ongoing. It's a nationals match between Kawamura and the bro of the guy who taught him Hadoukyuu.

I think there are supposed to be 13 OVAs. I'm not sure how that's going to work, but oh well. There are already 2 OVA movies and 1 mini-movie. The original series had 178 episodes or something like that. I'm not sure how long the anime is going to follow the manga, but so far, 13 OVAs isn't going to be enough.

As for the manga, they're currently playing out the semi-finals in the National Tournament. In Seigaku's match, they're exactly half way through. They're on the singles 2 match. Who knows if or how long the manga will continue after Nationals.

by the way they're heading 13 OVA is definately not enough^^ it'll probably finish a bit of Hyotei's and Seigaku's matches but it'll definately need to be longer to feature the semi-finals and finals.

It'll probably get through Hyotei's match with maybe half an episode or so to spare. That's my guess anyway. Or wait.... It might not even have that much to spare. Tezuka vs. Kabaji is going to be OVA 11. Then it'll be Oishi/Kikumaru vs. Ootori/Shishido, right? I can't quite remember who played in that match. Lol. Then OVA 13 will be Atobe vs. Echizen. Whoa.... That's not going to get very far.....

    To sum it all up:
2 Movies (Two Samurais, The First Game, Atobe's Gift)
    178 Episodes (Anime)
2 extras (New Year's, A Day on a Survival Mountain)
    13 OVAs (Nationals)
    330 Chapters (Manga)
    2 Fanbooks + 1 extra Chapter
    Musicals
    Live Action Movie
CD's are also out (did you even ask for this?)

    Anime + Manga ongoing. Simple.

How many musicals are out? I stopped watching after about the 3rd one. ^.^' I did watch the Hyotei one because people said it was good.

Wait.... I thought 2 Samurai and First game were the same movie.

Okay, I didn't want to start a new topic to this but could someone tell me how old the characters of PoT are? I have read the manga and wathed the anime but just a moment ago my friend noted that Ryoma is 12-years-old. The other characters are older than 15-years-old, right?
This is rather stupid question but I can't find answear anywhere...

Edit: Ok, I think I found answear to this one.
