n00b questions

Since this a new reader question thread (well practically). I started watching the anime on toonami, does it skip episodes or something? That kind of has me confused, also is this a good manga to pick up and read?

The manga is more accurate, since it was the one that was written first. The anime is based off the manga and has some things that are different. I personally like the anime because I just like watching anime more. If you look at some other threads, you can see that I'm not exactly a supporter of the dub. There are a lot of complaints about the dubs. I have gotten use to watching the subs but the downside is that when I now watch anime (even if dubbed in the local language) I automatically look at the bottom of the screen. animeepisodes only has the first 2 OVAs of the nationals so far. Animesuki has the torrents until OVA 7.

Yeah. The problem with me is that I'm not used to the voices. I have to try to decide who's talking. In the Japanese version, I can tell exactly who's talking just by listening.

The thing is I don't like to download the episodes. Plus, I don't have bittorrent. That's why I just watch it online. ^.^ Animesuki only has up to OVA 7? OVA 10 and 11 come out today.

I was referring to the subbed OVAs. I don't download them myself because my connection is poor and I don't have the patience to do it.

Oh. I've somewhat given up on waiting for the subs. Lol. Sorry, I misunderstood. I don't download them because my internet likes to reset on me every now and then. Usually it resets before I can finish downloading something large. ;_;

Toonami has been skipping episodes in order to catch up to Toonami Jetstream(their online site that began running the series last July). The skipping will stop after this week.

And yes, I highly reccomend the manga.
